they build our security systems,

the american armys planes,

they run transportation companies,

they own credit cards,

they purify your water,

they make your health care equipment,

they are an insurance company

they are a real estate company

they are in 56 countries on 6 continents

they run our power plants

do you think it is possible for nbc to give a non biased opinion when they deliver the news?

the security systems are in malls, airports, not just home security.

10 000 employees in canada at GE

own a cell phone? most likely the plastic is made by GE

your family own a car by chrysler, or ford(there are probably more)? they use ge products

that bc hydro plant probably is using a Ge turbine

do your parents own a car?

do they own a house?

do they insure these things?

do they own a credit card?

apparently you have flown though, so they probably made the planes engine, and possibly the metal detector was made by them too.

basically I'm wondering how many people are comfortable having one company control so much in our everyday lifes? it unsettles me for sure.

look into the economic and businesses of this country, and you'll see GE is one of the alrgest, HOWEVER, there are 5 or 6 companies like them that own pratically 80% of the business in this country. off the top of my head the ones I know are GE, AOl Time Warner, Virgin, MGM/Disney....
