-one randomly meows through out the day.

-the other is a scrawny vietnamese kid, who exclusively talks in "worldstar hip hop tik tok speech"

They do a decent job... any one else have gen z at work? how do they interact with people "IRL"

Automation. The one who meows is a mechatronics EIT, and the other is a project coordinator.

I am a gen z I work at an auto shop with gen z, milenieal, and gen y. I can confirm we are all intensly stupid. No meowing but many half hearted your mom jokes, with a sprinkle of direct insult. But no one is soft enough to take it to heart.

I don't know how else to put that but it's really true there's no such thing as hard work or perseverance or even a intelligent conversation. That is why I've loved my last two jobs working with heavy machinery and learning all sorts of trades and I'm working with veterans and 60yr old operators who are eager to teach a young kid the trade.

Also the older generation seems to be a lot more friendly and talkative (when you’re standing in an elevator for example). Most kids just stare at their phones and avoid eye contact. & have the attention span of a goldfish

Every generation has its odd and lazy people. Every person has to be handled in their own custom way. I can only imagine working in the world of HR, props to any people in that work field.
