Word, i'm going to europe for spring again... any good info from anybody who skis there alot. i wanna know pretty much everything, haha.

i was there last june so i cant tell you much about the skiing. there's tons of places to stay. i dunno. the mont blanc is frickin huge though

depends on the time you're going ... its gonna be pretty crowded around eastern, so you might consider checking out some smaller resorts around chamonix. for the first time you should get a guide or find some locals to show you around, its pretty easy to land where you didnt want to go.

 
yeah, a guide is definitely an option for a day or two. the place is just huge with some good stuff around it so we're gonna pick and choose when we get there. Important stuff, cause we are on Spring Break, whatre the good bars and clubs and shite?

Get that little insurance card. Otherswise ski patrol, avalanche rescuers, and all those people charge alot.

Get a 'carte neige' (Basically means snow card)

Is only about 40 Euros and covers you for all mountain activities (skiing, hiking, climbing, anything) anywhere in the world for a year.

Les Deux Alpes in France.

Alot of Austrian resorts are really starting to get sick parks, but I've never been out there.

Hows the money convert from U.S to euros? In other words is it more expensive to take a trip there than say canada other than the obvious reasons of more expensive plane tickets.

i'm pretty sure they don't get very much snow, but i guess it'll be spring so pow would be out of the question anyway. forget the park kid, go search out some couloirs.

Hit up Les Deux Alpes, they have an awesome park. AND its linked to La Grave, probably the best lift served backcountry on earth.

It has about 2000m of vertical, no trails, just a mountain. Pick a route and ski it. You can always find powder there.

The bottom can sometimes lack snow, and if you don't know where you're going, you may have to walk a bit. Try get a local guide, he'll keep you out of crevasses (sp?) and away from 400ft cliffs, but he'll know all the sickest spots.

yeah les deux alpes n la grave are definately gooood. basically what magseven said is true, so i won't say it again.

you could always go to england, its super cool. dryslopes must have the best parks in the world....

 
Plus, some of the backcountry in the sheffield back bowls or over the milton keynes ridge is out of this world.

yep yep. i did actually ski some places in derbyshire a year or two ago, it was well good, i built a big kicker and everything.

 
Its more expensive to go to Europe than in the U.S. or Canada because of the exchange rate. Canada's the cheapest, then the U.S., and Europes the most expensive because the Euro is worth more than the dollar.
