New Prod 4 got a complete redesign, thicker edges, different sidecut, more tip and less tail rocker and a new wood core

https://www.voelkl.com/de/voelkl-live/built-together-2/ contains specs of Revolt 104

I creamed when they said they took inspiration from the gotama. The tail looks very similar to the gotama shape.

Volkl Blaze 106, supposedly the spiritual successor to the OG Metal Katana. Volkl’s ‘21 lineup is confusing me at the moment. Kendo 92, Blaze 94, Revolt 95, M5 Mantra 96, Mantra 102, Revolt 104, Blaze 106, V-Werks Katana 110. Seems hyper saturated. Revolts and Mantras are obviously very different but I’m interested to see where the Blaze comes in. Potentially, Woodsman or Enforcer Free “tweener” type skis; tip and some tail rocker with semi-progressive mount ~-6. First year in a while that Volkl has me intrigued. Can’t wait for samples to start rolling into the shop.

Blaze is their light, touring line. So Kendo, Mantra line for the metal, directional chargers(108 Mantra coming out which would be the “new Katana” you’re talking about I bet), Revolt for their twin tip freestyle range and Blaze for their light weight touring range.

Thanks for the clarification.

The word katana better never be referenced by volkl unless it's full rocker.

Not sure if they end up calling it Mantra 108 or Katana 108 but it has the same build as the Mantra 102 and M5 which has camber. It should definitely haul whatever they call it!

From TGR post-

OK, here's the latest, straight out of the catalog

Katana 108 dimensions 146-108-129. Come in 170, 177, 184, 191. Stated radius on the 184 R1-34m, R2-19m, R3-39m. Rocker profile looks to be similar to M5 and 102. No weight listed but apparently not a featherweight.

And the new "BLAZE" 106 dimensions 146-106-128. Come in 165, 172, 179, 186. Stated radius on the 186 R1-30m, R2-19m, R3-40m. Tip and tail rocker. 186 listed at 1,772 grams.

Just a new graphic but they are cool. Meant to look like skate shoes.

I thought it was custom paintwork. Are you saying it’s going to be an official graphics for next season?

Oh dear lord no. I love my Kryps but this is just silly.

Not a fan of bright ass green either, but glad my pair is only from last season, hopefully they’ll be on to the next color by the time I’m due for a new pair.

It’s just the “park” version. The regular were just black I think.

Anyone know what the white Zeros are?

Stranger: ~100 underfoot, short radius twin. Imagine if the Blend and Sakana fucked and created a ski that I don’t want.

I work here at K2 and designed this ski. I can tell ya we didn't see these before and designed these about a year and a half ago. Thanks and the upmost respect towards everyone out there. Great minds think alike.

Pure coincidence for sure! Not hinting at any foul play just craziness how close they ended up. Stoked to see some funky top graphics everywhere in the industry.
