OP got served.

But yeah, as long as we have religion and the government working hand in hand, gays will never be able to get hitched.

Aids testing and treatment, but talking with you is like talking to an 8 year, I just feel dumber after and since my self esteem is already clearly very fragile because of my christianity I better slow down.

If you take threads in NSG...you're going to have a bad time.

you have a nerve and when you push really hard to take a huge shit it triggers your heart to stop afaik. That's why a lot of old people die while taking large shits.

Proof that when we dig in to exorcise our brown demons, we are truly at war with the neverending chocolate zerg rush that ultimately kills us.

I am A O K with Gays. But I am extremely uncomfortable with any PDA of such, and though people say its cause I'm homophobic or Gay myself... No I just understand that one sex has a hole the other has a plug its obvious how its meant to work. Butt holes push stuff out not take it in, its obviously a bit strange.

Well understanding that it's not what evolution meant to happen is different from being uncomfortable. Being uncomfortable would be homophobia. I'm not using it to belittle you because you obviously have an awareness that lots don't and I applaud you for that

This is up for debate. How do people become straight? We'd like to think we know, but the areas in the brain corresponding to sexual impulse and attraction are incredibly poorly understood. There's actually (ironically) more scientifically supported evidence for an inherent cause for transgenderism than there is for homosexuality.

Either way, it shouldn't affect the way you treat 'mos. If someone participates in an activity or lifestyle you find disgusting, or believe is unnatural, but does not affect you in any way save having to know about it, what license do you have to inhibit their ability to do so? That's an abuse of power and an unnecessary exercise in stopping 8% of the population from participating in an activity or lifestyle on the grounds of opinion alone, and that's not right.

TL;DR nature v. nurture is a moot set of points.

It's like 3% gay and 97% straight, and straight is obviously the right way, If you are born a man you should naturally be attracted to women, I'm just confused as how you can like the same gender, considering you're basically programmed to like the opposite sex

I'm sorry, I used the wrong choice of words here.

I really don't know how to say it, because I sound like I hate gay people, but being "straight" is what humans are supposed to be

if you like the same gender, then you are probably "programmed" to like the same gender. Being gay is totally natural as far as we know.

More people should read this. The truth is it doesn't really make sense for there to be an entirely genetic basis resulting in homosexuality, because that doesn't make sense when you think about it from an evolutionary perspective. The most likely explanation is that it is neither entirely nature or nurture that causes homosexuality, but a combination of both, in ways that we are not even close to understanding yet. The whole "born that way" thing is absolute bullshit, and while it is comforting to a lot of people, it is simply not the truth. I am 100% in favour of gay rights but I am also a realist.

lots of things don't make sense from an evolutionary perspective. it's not like evolution has goals it sets out to achieve.

Please, from a lot of us in this thread, stop posting in this thread.

Let's get the facts straight. Straight people are obviously attracted to the opposite sex, gay people are attracted to the same sex or both sexes. Either way, love is love, and IMO every human living on our planet, planet Earth, should be able to have equal rights. I live in New York, where we accepted gay rights in maybe 2011, 2012-ish. Earlier this year, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that it was unconstitutional that same sex marriage was illegal in most states in the U.S. Less than a quarter of America has legalized same-sex marriage, and the issue is still in Russia and and it may effect the crowd turnout at the Sochi Olympics in less than 5 months.

That's my $.02 again, and why is this issue always brought up in NSG?

Lastly, HUMAN EQUALITY FOR ALL!

The world, to include liberal democratic states, have a long history of legislating morality. There continue to be many people in the country, and others, that view homosexuality as immoral.

Everyone will continue to have their own views on the matter; accompanied by a negative view of those they disagree with.

Unrelated:

Here in WA, we legalized same sex marriage last year. This did not however, prevent some numb nuts from asking for my signature for marriage equality. Genius face seemed blown away when I told him I could only vote in WA.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with being gay, at all.

To anyone who doesn't agree with me, put yourself in their shoes. They can't fucking do anything about it.
