If gays want to be able to get married just to have the marital benefits, that's shitty. The emphasis is then taken away from just wanting to be together and placed on monetary and other 'benefits.'

exactly... theyre only asking for equal rights. its not hurting anyone, nor are they asking for too much. jesus christ! they just want to share that same sacred bond and receive those benefits like heterosexuals. im sure if they had their way they would choose to not have to deal with the complications of living everday, being gay, being different, being ostracized for certain reasons. but its the way they are and they cant help it. they were born gay or later realized they were gay ( yes this is a nature vs nurture issue, but im ont getting into that right now). its like saying that since i was born a white female, i shouldnt get to drive a car because cars were only made for men. how ridiculous is that? and i dont want any smart comments about 'women drivers'. men suck at driving too.

'Equal rights for equal people' hey guess what in the constitution it says 'All men were created equal' it says nothing about gay men!

next point gay couples are already allowed to adopt children. There is a big process that is gone through to determine if someone or a couple is allowed to adopt. letting them marry is not going to make those figures go up at all.

so where else is letting them marry gonna go? parenthood... they can already do that!

As for partner benefits not many companies will give partners benefits that only comes to the married couples.

So what other arguments do you have against gay marriage? throw em at me and let me hit them out of the park. Get a clue!

punk, gays can already raise kids. they can adopt and i think they can artificially insiminate. so the point is, gays jsut want equal rights. thats all. i believe that gay couples do receive some benefits already.

^sorry, i went to ski the day i had lessons about that part of US law. in France, gays are forbidden to adopt. and they have some kind of marriage, not called marriage but giving the same rights. poor france ...

and who's to say a kid will be fucked up in the head if hes raise by two women or two men. it totally depends on teh parenting. so many kids grow up all fucked up and pissed off about life when they have heterosexual parents. having gay parents is better than having shitty hetero parents.

alright today in class i was debating with the kid about gay marriage and he litterally said something like 'if we let gays get married, they will adopt childred and then the children will become gay and turn other people gaqy.so slowly the whole world will become gay and then the world wouldn't be able to reproduce, thus making man kind extinct.

and he litterally said that will a straid face and a completely convinced voice. im 95% sure he acctually believed that. i was amazed
