Gay Marriage

I feel like you're someone like this

It's not my fault that you haven't found jesus yet. Don't get pissed off at me. I was just trying to explain how things are.

I'm all about compassion, but it goes passed that when you almost make something wrong seem more than accepted. Being gay is almost preached these days.

I'm not pissed off in the slightest. I'm trying hard to be as even-tempered and rational as I can.

Who cares if it's accepted. You say it's wrong, other people disagree. You have a different moral code than them so live by that and let them live by their own. is that so hard?

Oh, so you are a troll. Well I guess those replies of mine just wasted a few minutes of my life. Damn.

Oh yeah, and Jesus can suck my balls

i kinda agree. i like the idea of everyone can do what they want. but just the idea that two dudes being married just dosnt seem right, its biologicaly pointless and its streching the the idea of marirage.

Alright, I can't say you are wrong about being biologically pointless. BUT BUT BUT The amount of laws tied into marriage make in necessary to allow gays to be married. Otherwise It is unconstitutional.

How bout this. A love license, all the same benefits as marriage without actually being married.

come on man whats your problem? whats wrong with jesus? christianity promotes good morals and helps you be a better person. why do you have to say somthing so terrible and pointless like that?

I know. It was a response to all the ridiculous trolling and irrational arguing that this thread is dripping with.

In all seriousness though, I have no problem with Jesus. The basic moral principles of his teachings are great (Don't kill, Don't cheat, Do unto others...) but what really pisses me off is his followers trying to impose their beliefs on others.

ok well that make more since. and i too dont like it that much when beliefs are forced apon people, if they dont believe then they dont believe so dont force it.

This thread is getting bad. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I have no problem with anybody believing whatever they want to. That's their right. However, when these beliefs infringe upon the rights of other individuals, I have a problem. If you don't think homosexuality is right, fine. However, if you're going to infringe upon the rights of these homosexuals, I think it reasonable you state your reasons for believing they don't deserve said rights. "The Bible says so" is not an acceptable reason. If you can give a reasonable argument, I'll concede to you. Good luck.

One more time. Homosexuality and bisexuality are much, much older in life in general, and in humans, than any religious text or belief that still holds any sort of significant sway today.

if you have ever known a gay person, you realize that there is nothing wrong with them.

There have been too many threads on this.

Here are some cool facts about America that might give you an idea about why we have not legalized gay marriage yet:

Only 60% of us believe in evolution

Jersey Shore

we elected George Bush..............TWICE!

48% of Americans reject evolution and a further 2% don't know

20% believe that the sun revolves around the earth and a further 9% don't know

20% can't locate the US on a world map

75% have no idea about the population of the US

Only 32% know that July 4th is independence day

And 19% don't know what country the US gained independence from, with a

further 2% saying it was France and a furher 3% saying something else.

we consider companies people

Not that I'm disagreeing with you, but look back, you have some directly contradictory statistics there. I'm sure they're from different sources, but it really weakens your argument.

Please ignore his post. I'd honestly like to see what you have to say to mine. I really am interested in continuing an intellectual and respectful discussion here, despite others best intentions otherwise. Unless, of course, you are a troll, in which case you can fuck off.

I can't stand people who hate on God... you're worse than the people who believe in a God.

none of this has anything to do with gay marriage. gtfo with your liberal bullshit agenda. gay marriage is wrong and i plan to move if my state passes it

I'm just gonna say, if it was a choice, then why do 2/3 of LGBT youth attampt suicide because of how much they hate themselves for it?

Robby with the stinger...

No but for real, I take pride in living in a state where it's actually legal. God wouldn't have put a hole in man if he didn't want men to be together, also the reason why he gave women clitoris's.

I too take pride in that, although our current legislature is full of imbeciles. Believe it or not Tucker, I really can be intellectual if I so choose.

I know you can Robby, and as far as the legislature being full of incompetent gun carrying fuckwads, I fully agree with you on the too.

thank you. for the most part they are forcing their beliefs on us just as much as the religious people

So basically you're saying that people should be open to everyones beliefs, but if your beliefs are biblical then they aren't valid?

That makes sense

Homosexuality has been around from the beginning of time. Doesn't make it right, doesn't make it wrong its just there and who is anyone to judge.

Obviously religion bars sexuality and so religious people are going to argue against it, whereas secular people will argue for it so what the fuck is the point?

I'm not really a religious type person, but i still find that its wrong for 2 men to raise a child, thats not how it was intended in nature... Look at animals for example.

No, I dont think thats what he's referring but the bibal is often interpreted differently, and until the Christians can get there shit together, most of arguments are indeed invalid, I mean look at a few weeks ago, the entire world was in panic because some guy claimed the world was going to end because of the wat he interpreted the bible. But guess what, NOONE GOT RAPTURED AND NOONE IS STUCK IN HELL BURNING FOR ALL ETERNITY.
