GATTACA

it's okay. kind of boring. maybe cause i was forced by my ap bio teacher to watch it last year.

we had to watch it in english class last year. it was ok, i just didn't watch alot of it because I used those classes to study for finals and do other homework. actually most of the time I just slept.

'hey look guys! For a dollar you can get a free condom!'

- a friend when she saw the condom dispenser in the bathroom

'We could give him milk after filling his epipen with heroin and turn him into a drug addict'

- a guy thinking of ways to get revenge on someone who is deathly allergic to milk

i saw it a few years ago and really liked it. ethan hawke is usually a safe bet and it was visually strong - using a frank lloyd wright building in a film is always a plus in my book. but that was a few years ago and i haven't seen it since, i'm a 1000 times more critical of movies now.

the only girl i've ever loved was born with roses in her eyes. but then they buried her alive one evening in 1945 with just her sister at her side and only weeks before the guns all came and rained on everyone. now she's a little boy in spain playing pianos filled with flames on empty rings around the sun.

i thought this was a good movie. I hope i am thinking of the right movie. Is it the one with Jude Law and Uma Therman (spelling?)?

i have an american dream but it involves black masks and gasoline

yea its about creating a perfect population or somethign rihgt. But the main character isn't really perfect he is just pretending to be so he can go to outer space?

It's nine o'clock on a Saturday

Regular crowd shuffles in

There's an old man sitting next to me

Makin' love to his tonic and gin

He says, 'Son, can you play me a memory

I'm not really sure how it goes

But it's sad and it's sweet and I knew it complete

When I wore a younger mans clothes'

La la la, de de da

La la, de de da da dum

Sing us a song, you're the piano man

Sing us a song tonight

Well, we're all in the mood for a melody

And you've got us feelin' alright

it was weird but good saw it in my bio class

no snow...

no girls...

no future..

snowfall dictates the days activities if the snowfalls then do it another day..

i saw it in my Humanities class, talked about the ethics and what it means to be human. and if being genetically modified makes a person more human than one that isnt.

it was a cool movie, i really liked it. its all about how that the genetically modified people can only accomplish what is expected of them, no more, no less. everyone has their place, they wont ever step out of the norm. whereas people that were born naturally are discriminated against, and have to work that much harder to fit into society. only the natural born humans are able to have a desire or passion to go beyond their limits and stand out.
