Garage sale scores

im always to hungover to get up early saturday mornings to go to some, one of my buddies got a 32" flat screen samsung for 100$ because the guy was moving into a pre furnished apartment

almost scored a super sweet go kart for like 50 bucks but i was up skiing when my parents found it and by the time they went back to pull the trigger, it was gone.

when i was around 15 i bought a huge (like 6') stuffed bear, but when i got home my mom made me bring it back.

lame

Went to one before the winter and this dude was just giving away all these old skis in like mint condition. If I ever get enough time to do it they will be made into a ski chair.

a couple of years ago i scored about a $100 Odyssey putter for 10 bucks.
SCORE
a word of advise. church garage sales are where its at. they just want to get rid of stuff. IE its WAY WAY WAY cheaper than private garage sales.

I got a legit, mint condition type writer. One of the very first ones, hand cranking and everything. Oh and with all the stuff I need to work with it(paper, ink stuff, whiteout kinda thing). Done a couple reports with it, scored a better grade almost everytime since they liked it.

church yard sales are were its at. the best thing i ever picked up at a yard sale was a Schwinn orange krate for 10 bucks. steal of the century.

At a church one I got this rad red skateboard form like the 60s. It's a fishboard but really small and awesome, and really soft and flexy. It's some type of plastic. Maybe I'll post pics.

I always look around for sales though. Sometimes you'll get people selling older camera stuff that's wort hundreds for less than fifty. People don't know what stuff is worth. Still waiting to see a hasselblad for really cheap...

a bunch of bottles of unopened Jim Beam from the 50s in collectible Decanters for 5 bucks a pop. got 5 of um. Shit was delicious. every time we found something good from there on out, it was a celebration shot. we were hammered by 9:30 in the morning.

schwinn varisty road bike 1963, all original except for new saddle - $8

22 in monitor (using currently) -$20

bolle ski shades from way back - $1 (broke them though)

broken dell latitude 1550 or something - $10 + $60 hard drive online + perfectly good laptop.

I got 3 of those sigg canteens, which are $25 each for $3. (i lost 2, but they were solid, now i only have the cheaper types, not as good at all)

I used to troll the sales with my dad every sat morning. Prolly made $1000 dealing stereo equipment, and other shit i sold. But i kept the best stuff for my room = denon amp, 2 oldish polk audiophile fronts, and bose rears.

there's this junk day kind of thing here this weekend, you put a bunch of old shit out for disposal on Monday but everyone looks through it all weekend looking for cool stuff, i scored a 55" TV

the other day my dad picked up this sick road bike from some garage sale (idk why cause ive never seen him ride a bike) but its all flat black with a curved downtube and has these big street tires, its soo sick i just got on it and rode it for like 3 miles for no reason really

water skis are the ultimate garage sale score. people always sell old skis for $0.50 - $1.00. I'm always hawkin' garage sales for these kind of deals. can't beat a ski for a dollar - if the skis are pieces of shit, i just use them for barefoot step off skis.

I got a war helmet with bullet holes in it. My grandpa says its a german helmet from the 2nd world war. Pretty sweet!

i scored a WW2 gas mask for 5 bucks, and it works hand in hand with a bong i have. home made gas mask bong for 5$ woop.

a nice Cleveland 3 wood and adams golf bag i think for a grand total of 30 dollars. it was my neighbors garage sale. i don't go around looking for them on sundays like an old person.

also waterskis, a vintage longboard, look pivot 14 mounted on old skis, some solly bindings with rainbow colored driver toe pieces fluo clothing from the 80s/90ssickest goggles, wayfarers with fluo yellow in the black legs and purple mirror glassesset of golf clubsan old surfboardold LPs from ACDC, Led zeppelin, the doors and a rasta colored LP from bob marley (a friend of mine actually got that one, damn him ! )a bowling balla ww2 m1 helmet with vintage liner and everything, even jeep dustgoggles strapped around :)a pair of full leather fleece lined glovesetc..

got a thrift store story: My friend needed a couch, and we found a free one outside of a thrift store on the curb. It wouldn't fit in his tiny ass suburu, but he had chains in the back. there was an old box spring next to the couch. We tied that bitch up, put the couch ontop and i surfed behind the subey at midnight next to the cop shop.

human fetus in a jar presurved... CLAIM>... Like whoa....... when some one comes over and passes out on the couch.. BLAM Fetus is cuddling up with yeah...

and also . epic oldschool skateboard... sold one for 300 bones once.. it was an 1980 alan gelfand Powell Peralta with the tank graffic...

iv always wanted to try barefoot but no one skis on my lake really and even fewer people barefoot, other then a bar but thats fuck all

so many jackets. I wore a sweet/ warmest jacket i've ever owned today in 5 feet of powder didn't feel anything. But the jacket was $10. Then the ladie added in a north face fleece jacket for free
