Gapers?

Word. I ski in my Carharts all the time. XL Carharts bein hella steezy with my camo trucker hat and shop gloves. Yee.
 
Like we have gaper day, gapers should have a 'good skier' day, where they throw down hard, and wear stuff that they've bought especially to ski in, and not just stuff that was already in their closet, but are unlikely to wear again.
 
do you rent regular skis that arent twin tips?do you ski off the side of jumps leading to rails?do you ski down the mountain with your skis in a "pizza" shape?is your helmet a ricing helmet and/ or wear an old hat with your favorite sports team on it?
if you answered "yes" to 3 of these 2 questions, you are indeed a gaper.

the definition of 'gaper' that i have recently learned from newschoolers refers to what i have always called a "yeti" on the hill

pretty much someone that does not ski very often and is therefore uncomfortable/unprepared/unequipped/unskilled on the hill and looks foolish
 
its not really hate, I don't think anyone hates gapers(unless their just annoying), we all just enjoy taking amusement in their gaper ways, such as skiing in jeans, gaper gaps, starter jackets and many other things mentioned above.
 
Dude. You have called them the wrong things... Yetis are a rare occurence, and are widely sought after. In fact, one film crew known as Nimbus Independent spent a whole entire season "Hunting Yeti". Yetis are cool.

Gapers, on the other hand, are different. In fact, the only thing I can correlate between the two is that Gapers frequently exhibit Gorilla Steeze, and gorillas are distantly related to Yetis.
 
A gaper: the kid that slammed the lift bar down on my which fortunately only pinched my leg. I never put the bar down unless i need to rest my feet because ive been non stop skiing for 8 hours. This kids attire? Well it consisted of:-carhartt jacket-some carhartt hat-carpenter glasses shaped sunglasses-tighter fitting pantsHe had k2 twin tips. I asked him what kinda tricks he could do. The answer: none. haha.
 
The person that follows me down the hill watches me do something, then skis around the rail or goes off the jump but missing the rail completely! Gaper
