Gaper skis straight into trees in Breck park

LOL I showed my mom and she laughed, but I informed her beforehand that he only busted a couple ribs. Kid learned the hard way not to side-jump the rails!! Let this be an example to all of you.
 
so I've never had broken ribs before…. but i'm pretty sure he wouldn't have been able to scream like that if he really had broken some ribs… I'm thinking he just freaked himself out cuz he knew he just did something that has been known to kill.
 
if everybody skied off the side of rail jumps there would be a huge track in the jump going off to the side. Maybe at bigger mtns where they're grooming lips every hour it doesn't matter, but at smaller hills the lips would be straight ruined from a day of people jumping off the side. see it all the time
 
This reminds me of some guy I saw while trying to teach a couple friends to snowboard some years back. We were on the easy run which is a massive wide open run with a cluster of like 4 trees smack dab in the middle. Some guy with a Go Pro decided to be an awesome dude and take a little path through the trees. He skied right into one and broke his nose.

Fair play to him though, he refused the ski patrol sled and skied down himself. LEft them to shovel up the bloody snow.

people actually ski through the park like that? I skied park for a long time and I never saw someone legit hitting "rail jumps" like jumps. what the hell is a rail jump called anyways?
 
You sure this wasn't filmed in Pennsylvania???

Come to the poconos and you can watch this shit all day every day. I could fill fifty posts with stories of stuff like this and I've only been a rake bitch for two seasons.

This year I may try to compile a full gaper carnage edit.
 
Y'all are haters. This dude is killing it until he crashes in that forest. He gets air off every jump and even goes up the thing. and he is videoing the whole thing at the same time.
 
I'm awful for laughing at this... but he definitely had it coming the way he was skiing the park.

Also, did anyone else find it funny that he went to the left of the flat box, and the went balls out on to the rainbow box?
 
Well said . Everyone has to learn somewhere! He just needs to be taught park manors! Just cause someone does not go as big as you does not mean their a duesch ! The real duesch is everyone calling him a gaper! Teach him safety in the park ! Respect earns respect! Ithat is the intermediate park isn't it?

wow that looked pretty painful ive hit some trees going slower than that and it hurt they have no give to them im surprised he only had minor injuries it seemed like he was cookin it
