Gaper-this is acutally an acronym that stand for Guaranteed Accident Prone on Every Run. Referring for a skier or snowboarder, usually wearing bright 80's ski gear that cannot ski or ride, or a tourist in a mountain town who walks around with their mouth agape in awe of the mountains! urbandictionary.com

The real reson is that all gapers are a species of unintelligent, flatlanders who rarely visit mountainous areas. Their weak legs are the source of their strange behaviour. Out of sheer confusion they beleive they must assume the "GAPE" ie.(gaping asshole) position to increase their velocity whilst sliding.

they also have a strange atrraction to standing on knuckles, hitting lips sideways, and falling off lifts. Yet without them most of us probably wouldnt have the facilities to ski. which creates the gaper/love paradox! they seem to be accepting their fate as if they are about to be FUCKED!

urban gaper
the urban gaper is anyone in the city who drives, walks, or has a gaperish aura about them. but instead of just on the mountains, they act like a gaper in the city.
prime example of an urban gaper is someone pulling up to a gas pump on the wrong side and failing to make the hose reach. and instead of turning around, they keeping moving their car back and forth in a gaper-like parallel parking type motion until it reaches.

to me, a gaper is the person who stands straight up and pizzas, while they put there poles in their armpits. do they really think they will go faster just because they put their poles in their armpits? and if you want to go faster WHY ARE YOU PIZZAING?
