Gaper Day?

when is it gonna be this year? i know its usually april 1 but thats a tuesday or wednesday. is it justs till gonna be then or the weekend before or after? responses please
 
Im pretty sure its always on April 1st, but if you do it on that day everybody knows your joking so dress up like a gaper on any random day so people think your actually a noob
 
..........anyways, ^^most people i know will be doing it on the weekend, just cos not everyone can get to the mtn on tuesday. does this mean gaper-ness at 382?
 
snowblades, long poles, fannypack, headband/dope hat, sunglasses, old school pants and jacket and you're set
 
the retro one-sy and a fanny pack is the best way to go

ski some straight skis and thrown down your daffys all day long

that makes more sense, but i guess it depends on who you ski with tho. battle my crew is the weekend before, which means its the weekend after for others
 
i assume you mean breck? cause yeah last year was insane at breck while keystone just looked ok. i still hope it goes on during the weekend just cause that will allow for alot more people and the more people the better, 200 people gayper trains down the halfpipe last year was awesome!
i heard that vail resorts employees can get fired for participating, is this true? cause that would suck, though i think id be willing to get fired for it just cause gayper day is easily the best day of the year.
 
yeah keystone was good last year there is no denying that. and i dont think they can i know a bunch of park crew people that did it last year and they all still are on park crew. but march 30 is what i think i will be betting on
 
I'm gunna do it on the wrong day, that way its the ultimate gaper day. I mean dressing up like a gaper is cool, but doing it on the wrong day? That's gaper for sure.
 
Ode to GAPER DAY

Every year my ski season revolves around that one special day. The day when I commemorate those who aspire to ski as good as us. The 'Gapers." So do your self a favor and tuck your Carhartts into your rear entry boots and break out your Starter jacket and apply a solid layer of sunscreen to any where on your face that is not covered by mirrored out aviators and come on up to Park City this weekend to blend in with tourist and foreigners on a most glorious of Gaper Days.

They claim they will take your pass or fire you. They sent around a letter last year to most Vail resorts employees saying that is if they dress up/act out they will be fired or get their pass taken away this year and can't purchase one next year. But they can't stop the sheer drunken force that is Breck.
 
What day? Potentially I'll be there Friday-Sunday, and maybe Monday and Tuesday depending on whether or not I can skip class. Plus Sunday is my birthday
