Me and my mate have been talking about doing a gap year after school for years and now its finally coming up. What would be some things you guy would recomend getting sorted before we leave?

I'd probably get a factory job and save up some money to pay for school. What's more fun than working 12 hour shifts with the boys.

Figure out where you wanna be. You wanna sign a year long lease or do you have people you know you could live with somewhere? Vanlife? Camping? Europe? What are your goals/your budget

Want to go Canada (specifically banf)atm because we can get working visas easy.

I wish I did it all over and took a gap year. If you can serving pays pretty damn well. Weeknights I easily make >30hr for 5 hours of work. Just bum it with some homies and share a rental

Well there you go. I guess next steps would be to find a living situation/employment probably. Then just figure out how you're getting there and send it.

Save up as much money as possible and fucking doordash. Coming from someone who’s on a gap year rn I wish I saved up a lot more money, I still have dough left but it’s always nice to have more than you need laying around

This. I did a gap year and traveled in Europe a little. Always assume the money goes faster than you expect

Gap decade. Takes the pressure off figuring out what you want to do with the rest of your life in just one short year.

Yeah, was honestly thinking about booking a one way flight and seeing how long I could last

What would be a good amount to aim for roughly so I can set some goals

What can you get by on for a day?

$10 average? $30? less?

Multiple times days+ 10% idk

I mean I saved up 7k, I wish I had gone for 15k and yeah I know that’s a lot of fucking money but dude it’s so worth it to work your ass off every day and work overtime and get treated like shit by your boss to take time to make memories that’ll last a lifetime

I would say you probably want to have your chickens sorted by that is gonna be your most valuable asset for life on the road you will want to have five chickens to start you want to have three hens and two roosters the first rooster will be your breeeding rooster you want this to be a big bad mean scary motherfucker so you can breed signma chickens the hens wil be your egg layers of course so that will be your main source of income and protein on the road the extra rooster you will have if a hen ever wants to cuckold the other rooster to mess with his def esteem because it will only make him angrier bigger and badder and you will get more aloha chicken from it. Then when you have a fresh batch of chickens hatched you can make sure you have some young roosters in the mix and it will be safe to kill the roosters and eat them up and don’t forget to have buffalo and barbecue sauce for when it’s time to do this. Next you will have a lot of chickens now probably already 10-15 so it’s time to start selling. You could probably sell them for $50 each live or about $1 dead so the choice is in your hands your sasquatcheon. So I would say you will want to sort out getting chickens and then also think about getting barbecue and buffalo sauce for Tehran the time comes
