big L is dead.

gangstarr is too relaxed (boring in my opinion)

big L is a little more exciting

But up against DJ Premier AND Guru combined is too much.

i hate these absurd comparisons. i bet you the majority of the people who will voice their opinions in this thread aren't even familiar with big l's catalog of music.

ok if you're gonna compare the two, you gotta at least look at Big L's production cause premier is fucking fire. guru is dope, but L takes the battle of emcees. i've groaned quite a few times at some of guru's one-liners
 
listen to '98 freestyle, and tell me whats up. gangstarr is sick, but guru on different beats i dont like as much as big l on any beat so big l id say.
