Game of Thrones

you stupid fuck we didn't know it was Ramsay Bolton who was torturing Theon.

And now you see the problem with just having people "think logically" and it being okay...ns is filled with morons like you who are incapable of doing so.

He never actually appears in season 2, dumbass. The only way you could know for sure that it was him is from reading the books.

Fuck all of you and your arguing. This Red wedding episode was amazing. I hadn't read the books and it was the best scene I've seen on a series.

i'm sorry, but that comment MORE than gave it away. how could we think anything else other than what happened from your comment? just admit you fucked up.

Yea I don't want to read above posts cause I'm worried about spoilers. Please don't spoil anything..

I watched it again and Catlyn really knows something is up after the bedding ceremony. I don't even know what to expect for the season finally

our minds to be fucked by the same gods who gave us such a wonderful show. all i can think of all week is game of thrones.

wait so that wasn't the season finale? i read that it was. but anyway that was a realllly good episode. I honestly thought that new dude (can't remember is name) Khaleesi has in her army was going to fuck them over, something just didn't sit right with me. i was bummed they didn't bring out the dragons this episode too as i thought it was the season finale but if it wasn't then hopefully there is some badass shit in the finale with them. the red wedding was completely unexpected to me up until he mentioned the 'wine running red' and i was just like uh oh...crazy how they can almost kill of an entire main family. Bran is different and more powerful which is a good thing but if you remember in the last episode the other Worg mentions how the visions take their toll on you, I'm assuming since he is stronger they will be even worse for him as he matures.

Things aren't going well.... Bran just found out he has the power to take over humans not just animals. Once he can really figure out how to use that power it's on.

It's because they are playing the castely *sp rock song... The lanisters murdered everyone at castely rock years back.

I mean in terms of Arya being a badass who won't take shit from anyone and Bran learning to control the minds of not just animals but people as well. I think once they get out of their currently pretty fucked situations they'll be able to do some good. You think Arya is going to leave Westeros?

I wonder if that dude was also a face changer?? I don't remember him dying or at least seeing him dead, I know we had to fight like 5 dudes but if I remember we only heard fighting never saw the outcome. This probably isn't a big deal at all but if bit dead I wonder if she meets back up with that dude.

agreed, not sure where he got the 'nothing is going right' thing from. yeah their family was murdered and they will be mad about that but Arya is a cunning, smart little girl who when she grows more will be extremely dangerous and use all of these events as fuel. Bran is going to play a huge role obviously because of the whole controlling people and beasts minds. i know it's way ahead to come but i'm gonna do a little guess work here; since we are led to believe Bran is one of the most powerful Worgs out there, when Khaleesi decides to take back the Iron Throne with her dragons, will Bran be able to enter the minds of those dragons? i've never read the books so i'm just speculating, as this isn't the book thread lol.

The song is the Rains of Castemere. It is about house Reyne who tried to become a more powerful family and rebelled against the lanisters than got super merked. In the book, the song appears even more significant because the musicians are noticeably bad (you know why if you've seen the episode.)

ya thats right, I was confused but I knew it was something like that.

Why are the musicians bad, I must have missed that part? PM me if you thinks its a spoiler haha

Cool! I'll make a Game of Thrones season 1, season 2, and season 3 thread so people who haven't seen every episode of season 3 don't come in here and read spoilers? Sounds pretty fucking stupid. Great idea to have a thread specifically talking about the books, but what about people who have only read GOT and COK? Won't they read spoilers. If you go reading around about a book or tv series, your only exposing yourself to the chance to read spoilers.

Nobody should post spoilers, regardless of whether you have read the books or not. But, there are major differences between the show and the books, and a thread about the show is a great place to talk about it. A perfect example of some insight people who have not read the books might appreciate is just how badass Arya is. Jaqen H'ghar doesn't merk the guards for Arya, Hot Pie, and Gendry at Harrenhall. Arya slits his throat herself. That doesn't ruin anything for non-book readers, isn't a spoiler, and I will continue to post shit like that in this thread.

Also, you posted in this thread for the first time yesterday. This thread is over a year old and some people have been posting in it from the start, so I'm not sure where you're getting off like you created this shit or something. Seems pretty simple to just not post spoilers. If you don't want to read any, then don't go reading about it online.

In conclusion,

Am I really fighting this so hard? I just don't think there is a need to say, "DON'T EVER MENTION THE BOOKS IN THIS THREAD." This thread is a place to discuss the show GOT, which is based on a book for gods sake. I plan on discussing the show and when the show deviates from the book, I might comment on that. Boo fucking hoo!

If it really grinds everyones gears THAT much, then sure. I won't post shit about the books in here.

In my opinion I just don't understand why there shouldn't be any discussions of the book when the show is based off a series of books? So long as spoilers aren't posted, why is it so detrimental to this thread to discuss parts of the book that have happened in the show? Obviously there should be a thread for just the books so people can discuss ASOIF theories and shit. But explain to me why talk of the books is so detrimental and I will never reference them again.

I really don't think this is anything like me insisting on using "faggot" either. There is no logical argument for why you should use that word. There is a logical argument for why a tv show based off of series of books might include discussion of the books.

I totally agree that it would be easy for someone to accidental spoil something or allude to something that is coming. That's that shit I don't like. I also don't want to be that guy who points out every single incident from the show that is different from the book. In fact, the longer it has been since I read the books, the more and more I enjoy the show. The way this thread started off though, there were plenty of comments about the books and speculation as to how the deviations would be tied together. Although it isn't of interest to everyone, it certainly is of interest to a lot of the people who posted in this thread at the beginning.

Either way, you have a green name so I suppose you win. Let's get this thread back on topic?

From start to finish, the last episode was definitely the most well done of the entire series. The John/Wildings fight scenes & the shit with Hodor/Bran/Jojen was spot on. Arya's storyline was so fucked up too. They also made the RW so damn shocking, even for those who knew what was coming. Well done.

Wait, what? I definitely do not do this. I enforce me. Fuck the majority. People are mostly idiots.

Anyway everything ELSE Gato said in here sits right by me. I have read the books and have many thoughts and observations about differences and major plot divergences. That comment above about the musicians, for example, I thought the same thing. I have certain events I know are going to happen that I look forward to, and wonder how in the hell they're going to fit certain things into this season (I suspect that some of the big stuff will be pushed to next season and things will be re-jiggered).

All of that said, if you want to talk about the book, the differences between the book and the show, or anything that would not be discussed by someone who has seen nothing but the HBO episodes, go to that other thread that got made. If you don't, I will ban you for a week. I'm a start enforcing this on the Walking Dead thread too. I imagine Gato will do likewise because I don't check in here that often (or I would have deleted a bunch of shit sooner).

Now, you may be asking, "under what possible site rule could someone be banned for messing with peoples' viewing of a TV show?" The answer: the general site rule, which is, "don't be an asshole". Please refer to my original post here: https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/634890/

On topic, this is relevant.

The words are "hear me roar", which is cheesy and stupid. The words should be, "don't fuck with us".

oh my god that was amazing ive seen a compilation of reaction videos but i want an only black compilation, black GoT watchers must be few and far between but there have to be a few more videos like this

Thanks, but yeah no I meant generally. Most people are idiots. Yesterday I was in a supermarket parking lot and saw a young couple each running their baby stroller along the pavement, then letting go so it would roll to the other person 20 feet away. Basically playing catch with a child. On concrete. I was not surprised.

Reading the first book but just finished the episode. So fucking bummed. I saw a vine by andy milonakis last night of him throwing his computer with the caption "after the last episode of game of thrones" and figured something bad was gonna happen but not this. Damn that was definitely my favorite story line to follow and now its over. Guess its onto Jon Snow and Bran. Dont care for the Kings Landing or Arya bs right now anyways.

fuckkk arya was about to see her mom and bro again i was so ready for a tear-jerking moment then boom i was in shock

really disappointed/surprised that they ended the season without including some of the major events from a storm of swords. after the red wedding audiences should have been given a little bit more to keep them hooked and excited.

you should see him in misfits. they guy is meant to play lunatics.

fuuuuuuck i can't wait for the next season. can't decide whether to read the books or not.
