Game of Thrones

watched the first season, so sick.

Honestly had no idea they were coming out with a second season. Is it going to be the same name or the name of the next book in the series, whatever that is.

I had HBO for a while and watched the first 5 episodes, does anyone know where I could watch the other 5?

I think they did pretty damn good considering how thick those books are. I watched the first season and then had to read all the books. Tell me that this trailer isn't absolutely fucking epic:

SLIGHTEST SPOILER ALERT

Also, for those who've read the books, you'll get that part about "a trick, a shadow on the wall".

to be honest i haven't really given the show a fair chance, but its different for you. the images in your head when you read are from the show because you watched it first. the way that i imagined it all is not even close to the show and it just bugs me, and i think they did a bad job with the casting, except with Tyrion, the dude that plays him is awesome. but yes i'm sure it follows the plot of the books as much as possible

I am ridiculously stoked for this season. I'm reading the first book now, so far it's pretty much the same as the show, just way more detailed and a couple of minor differences.

Yea that's a good point. Peter Dinklage, the guy who played Tyrion, actually won an Emmy for his role! He's got a better season for his character coming up so I could believe in a repeat. I think they had some other really good casting, but it's probably just like when they casted Harry Potter haha.

the part that annoyed me the most was who they casted for jon snow. that guy is a total badass in the books and he is a pussy in the show.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED

I'm in the process of getting several people hooked on it so that I have a posse to watch it with

I watched the first episode of the very first season with a free trial of Hbo from directv and I want more! But I don't actually have Hbo :/ how do I watch the rest?

Yea I see that. I think the first book kind of sucks for him though cause he's playing this dude who kind of just wants to run away. Starting with the second book and season though he's committed to the watch and his real journey begins beyond the wall. Hopefully the actor has the skillz to handle it.

WOOOOO to there being a GOT thread.

I saw the first three episodes then became addicted and read all the books George Martin has written so far. About that, if you're reading the books, seriously PACE YOURSELF. I've read them all and am in purgatory waiting for new episodes and the new books, it's killer. Try and time it so you won't have to wait long for the second last or last book to be written if you can.

Also I kind of agree with Jon Snow looking like a pussy for what he's worth, but his story is boy becoming man yada yada so it works for him. One guy that pissed me off is Stannis, you see him in one of the season two trailers and he's not what i pictured at allll when reading the books. I though he would be a bigger guy, with a big square jaw, short hair, and short stubble beard. Every time I see the trailer it makes me think the actor they chose was the wrong choice for him.

Either way, represent, this series (books and show) deserve more credit.

I watched the first season on tv and then marathoned trough it again last week getting ready for the second season!! SOOOOOO pumped

just thought i'd throw this in here. for thrones fans, i would check out the Wheel of Time series. i am on book 7 in the series and I'm hopelessly hooked. its so damn good

absolutely jacked for season 2....and I'm going to start reading the second book on Wednesday.

I hope white walkers come and start wrecking shit.

and I'm all for the hot dragon bitch I hope she owns the show...guess I'll find out when I read the books.

i'm almost finished "A clash of kings" and i am trying to read a storm of swords and watch season 1 before season 2 comes out...maybe i'm being ambitious...but i can't wait!

I disagree. I have read up to the third and am reading now. I am completely satisfied with the first seasons depiction of the book. I usually am vastly underwhelmed by book to tv adaptations but GoT has been so damn good.

I think part of the reason the show is so close to the books is that George RR Martin was actively involved with the filming of the show and the dialogue.

I cannot wait, I read the second book after watching the first season. I'm on the third book now and i'm absolutely addicted.

Holy fuck I cannot wait for the second season!!! Best shows since The Wire!! WINTER IS COMING!!

I read an article in the newspaper about this series and I wanna start watching now. Unfortunately the article had some spoilers that they didn't warn me about :(

yup she is a babe fucking dragon queen gonna slay.
