The brief clip of the dragon at :50 seems like it's a clip of one of them being killed or shot out of the sky, interesting. Also I am surprised at how high on my list of favorite characters Brienne of Tarth is, she is a fucking badass.
 
red lady scene at the end rustled my jimmies. interesting insight to her character.

jon is dead... i was expecting some warg shit to happen with ghost but maybe that's on the way or i'm shit out of luck.

i don't even know what to say about the dorne/myrcella story...

Maybe just because it's the first episode, but everything seemed forced and irrelevant and they tried to cover too much. I'm sure it will get better. Also the lack of blood in some of the fighting was disturbing.

1. Spoilers in a discussion thread are definitely allowed. Wheelchair Prince of Dorne is dead. His son is dead. Mycella is dead. Jamie and Cersei are pissed. Sand Snakes continue to suck. Khaleesi is sentenced to rot in Vaes-Dothrak or whateverthefuck it's called (good riddance). Sansa and Reek escaped. Blind-Arya gets beat up and is going to continue getting beat up. Bran still MIA. Red Woman is actually an old hag with saggy fuckin tits. Sorry bud.

I love how people are like "Jon's definitely dead" after one episode where he's not been resurrected. Remember that the whole sequence at the wall played out over only a few hours of their time. I might be wrong, but I think the show's just playing with us now. It knows what we think is going to happen, so it's sure as hell not going to get straight down to making it happen. If Jon is coming back, I reckon it will be episode 3 or 4.
 
The whole Dorne story line has been awful. Areo Hotah, supposed to be a straight savage, gets stabbed in the back and goes down with no fight.

Also, how did the sand snakes end up on the boat when they were clearly on the dock watching Myrcella's ship leave.

pretty sure it was a different ship. Yeah I agree about Dorne though. Feels like I am watching a shitty fantasy show from the 90s.

I feel like every moment the show veers away from the books, the scenes become more predictable or hollywoodesque like when Brianne saves Sansa at beginning of episode. Could see that coming from a mile away.

I liked him because he resisted the temptation to go to war with the Lannister's over Oberyn and his sister's deaths. He just seemed more level-headed than most of the other characters, but maybe I'm the only one.
 
Predictions:

1) Jon Snow gets revived by Melisandre. Same way Thoros of Myr revives Beric Dondarrion.

2) Since Jon Snow died once already, this somehow absolves him of his duties to the watch

3) He retakes Winterfell and smashes the Boltens

4) The watch gets wasted by the Others, Jon rallies North to the cause

5) Dorne wastes King Landing

6) Daenarys comes back to Westeros, wastes everyone with cockless robots and dragons

Haven't thought beyond that. I believe HBO wanted to limited the number of seasons to 7 for some reason? They have a lot to solve in very few seasons

Yeah she signed on for nudity and then changed her mind after it took off because she wants to be taken "seriously", even though her character is well known to be naked most of the time. She's an idiot and sucks as a person pulling a pathetic bait and switch like that. I cannot wait to see her character get killed off or become irrelevant this season.

No, the biggest "fuck you" is when her ego got too big and she decided not to do anymore nude scenes, despite her character's main weapon being her sexuality/nudity. I can guarantee that when her character is killed off or removed from the story line, the reaction will be overwhelmingly positive and her acting career will be over.

This is no different than that dumb bitch Megan Fox who thought she was popular because she was a good actress and decided to trash the only director who was responsible for her career.

Thats what I think is going to happen, I take for granted that Melissandre revived Jon snow and she became "older" by doing it. Also, Sansa + Black Fish would make up for a very powerful couple and now that Dorne is no longer friends with the Lannisters the kingdom will be right there for anyone to take.

I think that the whole "trip" of Daenerys must come to an end in this season.

Finally I hope we see something, at least some trail of Howland Reed. Maybe he will be joining the army of the north too...

Seriously? I thought, besides Bran's scene, this was one of the better episodes since the 4th season.

They just did such a pathetic job with Bloodraven. He just looks like a guy trapped in a tree.

it was definitely a fantastic episode. I just don't like that they revived him. Would have been better if they had all this workup and hype about reviving him at the end then the last scene is him still dead then next episode it starts with them burning his body.

I just like the chaos of all the favourite characters being killed and knowing no one is safe.

You can only kill so many important characters before people start to get pissed off. There also has been a lot of foreshadowing (at least in the books) that he wasn't going to remain dead.

Few questions for other enthusiasts.

1. Jon died, and came back to life. Does this mean his commitment to the Night's Watch is done?

2. Tyrion seems to have a connection with those dragons. Tyrion=Targaryen confirmed?! (Such a stretch for this theory, but it would be wonderfully awesome if we saw him on the deformed dragon)

3. Are we finally going to see R+L=J confirmed next week?

Also, Ramsey has to be one of the sickest villains in the show, I hope Ghost eats him and kills his dogs.
 
I love how Ramsey is now the Anti-hero. He replaced Joffrey as the most hated it seems and he is much more unstable, I love it. Don't get me wrong, Joffrey may have done what Ramsey did with the dogs, but not the Father. Just Brutal.
 
I think it would have been more interesting for Melisandre's magic not to have worked.

They would have tried to burn Jon's body, but if he does have dragon's blood in him he wouldn't have burned, and the fire would have possibly revived him.

That would have been a better route in my opinion. Like someone said up there, leave the episode with him still dead, but have them try to burn his body in the next episode.
 
Very surprised Jon is revived considering Sansa is going to see him. It would have made her story line way more interesting, but who knows Castle Black might not even be there by the time Sansa arrives.

These three things seem to be what everyone is talking about.

I think Jon dying absolves him of his Night's Watch duties for sure. There was also something to do with him being the 1000th lord commander which could only happen now if someone else is appointed and then dies and Jon willingly takes the title back.

The scene with Tyrion and the dragons is pretty huge, I think it was second in importance to Jon's scene. If he is a Targ then that would sort of put things into place for the 3 dragon riders the third being Jon if R + L = J is true.

Snowbowl is definitely happening (jon snow vs ramsay snow/bolton)

Cleganebowl is pretty much happening as well (the hound vs the mountain)
