Gainer/backflip

i never really found a thread about someone asking if you need to be able to do a gainer to do a backflip. So do you need to be able to do a gainer..to do a backflip on skis?

If you commit fully then most likely yes.
Try it first on an airbag if you have access, if you don't then try it first into powder if you have access. If you don't have powder then best of luck to you because 1st try most people either under rotate and face plant or throw it too hard and land on their backs.

nowhere, find a powdery jump made from wind into a quarter pipe like shape which will make the landing nice and soft, then just commit.

this helps actually. go towards the end and find a place that still has some nice vert but isnt the height of the whole pipe.

but theirs also a really good jump for backflips...everyone is doing them off this jump..idk if i should try out of a pipe or this jump with a good lip and its not big
