Gained 11 pounds in 1 week, can that much be from just water?

going to the gym normally you would be lucky to actually gain a pound in a week, when i took creatine, i put on 6lbs in one week, but it was just water no real muscle mass, have ou grown i remember my weight jumped from 160-180 in about 2 weeks, i got freaked out because i didnt get fat, but i didnt know where this weight cam from, then i measured myself and i had grown 4 inches

dude, as a wrestler, and a body builder in the wrestling off season, yes, thats ALL water. unless you ate like a hoss and gained like 2lbs of fat. i guess it could all be fat but you'd have to be eating insane ammounts of food... we're talking an excess of 24500 calories

in ideal situations you can gain 1/2lbs of muscle/week

realistically... probably 1/4lb tops

hahahahah ah .... shit,... im on a 40000 calorie diet. and no, im not on creatine yet... im thinkin that in like a month and a bit or so.

yea i gained weight soo fast in the winter...i was pushin 200 pounds by the end of christmas holidays and before i was 185. like im 6'1" and big boned (im not fat) and 185 has always been my median. then i ate about 2 pounds of clodhoppers over a 2 week time and i honeslty noticed soooo much extra jello build up on me and i gained soo much weight. its starting to come off finaly. i started weight lifting again and im 192 so i think about 5 or so pounds of that is from the gym

my weight seems to change daily by 4-5 pounds. unless you are jsut trying to get more mass, why would you take creatine? your cells only fill up with water, it doesn't make you stronger eh?

water does make you gain weight. its like anorerix people.

example: a girl has a checkup with her doctor to see if shes any better but she isnt. she's still not eating. so before he appointment, she drinks like a shitload of water and boom shes fatter by 2 pounds

No you don't get "fat".

His body is just taking on and retaining water. Things such as sodium in your body can cause you to take on water very fast. Your cells basically fill up with water like balloons. And with the billlions of cells in your body that can add up pretty fast.

A lot of body builders will go for a day of two consuming very little sodium before a competition so they are like skin tight, and bring out muscle definition.

And I definitely think thats possilbe. Whatever product this dude is taking (I'm assuming creatine), is causing his body to take on and retain massive amounts of water.

1 gallon of water is approx. 8 pounds. So he's packing on about 1.4 gallons of water on his body.

Dude I definitely suggest going on a lower dose. Thats a lot of weight.

yeah, for real. a 40,000 calorie diet! you'd have to be like walking around with a camelbak full of mayonnaise

No way in hell you gain 11 pounds in 1 week from just water, did you eat before you weighed yourself? always weigh yourself in the morning before you eat and take a shit thats your true weight.

homedude probably weight himself one morning, when his weight was at its lowest. lets say at that point he was 160...over the next week gained water weight (6 lbs), some fat (2 lbs), then he ate a large meal and weighed himself again (3 lbs)

dude, are you measuring yourself at the same time every day? i'm just curious, because my brother said that his weight jumps around by like 5 pounds in a day sometimes (like, he'll be 5 pounds heavier in the evening than right when he gets up, but he weights roughly the same ammount every morning).

nah i jumped up to 155 that one day from 143.

Its been two weeks since then and im holding at 150-151 since i last checked.

These are averages.
