Alright long story short, Ive had my MBP for 2 years this coming up summer and about a year ago I had the exact same issue where the battery proved to be faulty and not able to hold a charge with very few cycles. I took it to a certified place and they said alright whateves and had my laptop ready in about 1 week (its honestly bullshit since they should of just had a battery overnighted to the place). Well that place is out of business now and I have the EXACT same issue. I know its a faulty battery but they need to take a look (which I completely understand). Now I must take my MBP to the apple store and the maccare guy on the phone said the apple stores are typically a little slower and this will be about 2 weeks hopefully. I honestly wouldn't mind as much if it werent for me going out of town the 21st and If anything happens I know there will be a chance I wont have my laptop which Id really like to have.
I understand its not their fault that they have to have the computer, but comeon this is ridiculous that it takes 2 weeks to get a new battery. And then Im gonna have to go deal with some pretentious dickhead at the apple store who couldnt manage to become a CompSci major but still thinks he is the bees knees at computers. Comon apple, help a brother out.

No what you said is simply not true. I know apple policy on many a defective things is for them to 2day/overnight depending then fix then 2 day back.

Honestly its probably because youre in Canada and they may have different policies. Im guessing Canadians may not be as devious as many American companies think Americans are.

On average how long do people's MBP batteries last for? The longest mine has been lately is like 2.5hrs.

I got my new battery the day of and they put a new keyboard and top plate on is less than 24hrs. Maybe your apple store just sucks.

I live in america and they issued a recall on the MBP batteries so i signed up, had a new battery in 2 days, put the old one in the box, and sent it back. then when that battery died i took it to an apple authorized store, they replaced the battery while i was standing there, and then i left. they really should replace it on the spot or just send you a new one, i've never heard of having to wait 2 weekso and the new macbook trackpad has a right click on it!! you just have to click in either the bottom left or bottom right corner and voila
but i agree that apple is getting a little shittier, i had the first model of ibook back in the day and the fucker lasted me 6 years and is still running strong it just only had a 10gb hard drive and stuff like that so i couldn't really use it anymore and then i had a MBP that started to go downhill after about 3 years

As soon as I saw that you posted in here from the topic list I knew you were gonna try to post some witty shit and act like you know whats up. What happened, did you eat all the available food within a one block radius so you figured youd try to be hip and cool online? Great man, thanks.

What? Another fat joke? I was just stating i've never had a problem with apple stores, they always hook me up with the best service. No need to be so hostile.

i havent had to have shit done to me MB, but ive heard that form everyone who has neded somehting like a battery its an on the spot thing. on my mb, thers a thing you turn on the bottom, battery falls out, new one in. thats it.
