G Suit Questions (for someone whos associated with salomon)

I have heard a lot of rumors about the g suit and i was hoping if someone with salomon connections would have the answers.

1: Is the largest size for the g suit XL or XXL? or does it depend on what country your in. I heard the largest size in Canada is XL while the largest size in the USA is XXL (if thats the case is the american XXL the same size as canadian XL or is it bigger (i ask that cause european stuff fits small so maybe this is the same idea but in this case american stuff fits small))

2. Are there only 25 g suits in canada or are their only 25 XXL g suits in canada cause i have heard both. If thats not the case then is it that the quantity of g suits is limited in Canada or is it just rumors.

3. How much is the g suit actually cost canadian cause my store when i ordered it told me it was 300$ for the jacket and 220$ for the pants.

4. Salomon doesnt say much about their outerwear tech so does anyone know what waterproofing is.

i have heard that the biggest size is an XL everywhere, but i have also heard that it only comes in XL.

and that it fits like a xxxl anyways,

some good fucking questions, but i doubt you'll get an answer. Even the guys at the salomon store in whistler know so little about the suit. Kinda pisses me off. everyone has a different answer for everything.
 
Have you asekd to check out the dealer book at your local shop which stocks salomon? They probably didn't even put it in there
 
Yes i actually did check in the dealer book. It wasnt in the one i looked in. But when the main guy atthe shop asked me wahts up i explained and he found it for me. He called up Salomon Canada and said he ordered a g suit for me XL (which he also said is the biggest size you can get)
 
I don't know what the biggest size will be here in Canada BUT, I have a large, which is the biggest large I have ever let touch my body. Normally wouldn't even touch anything smaller then an XL. But these things do fit huge. And as far as cost, this is a bit of a bummer but.... I don't know how much the pants cost in Canada, but I know how much the jacket cost. holy shit 540$ for a jacket! the guy at my shop says it will cost me 330$ for the jacket. if it costs more they will probbly hook me up anyways
 
that would be cool if you posted your height and a picture of te large g-suit on you. wearing jeans or something besides snow pants tho just to see if it at least looks good when not skiing
 
Ok i ride for salomon so i was able to get the outerwear catalog ("the salomon apparel workbook") and i am looking at it right now so all this info is straight from the catalog.
The jacket and pants are available in S/M/L/XL/and XXL
the coat retails for $380 american dollar
The pants retail for $270
Not sure if this has much to do with the waterproofing but the fabrics are:
climaPRO oxford 2L
climaPRO Jaquard 2L
actiLOFT insulation 100gr/m

They will be pretty hard to get your hands on but that also due to the fact that salomon hardly has any online retailers.

I do not ride for salomon but I have the answers to many of your questions:

- The largest size (in Canada at least) is XL
- The pants and the jacket combined plus tax costs 850$ canadian.
- Waterproofing is 10k
- I forget your other questions but here's a pic of me wearing the XL suit (I am 6 feet tall):

OK everyone i got answers! i called up salomon canada heres the info

- 10 000mm waterproofing

- only 30 g suits (inclusing all sizes) were made in canada

- 450$ for jacket

- 300$ for pants

- there is XXL but all of them are spoken for and there one XL left at salomon which is spoken for also

- XXL isnt much different then XL just a wider chest and a tad longer

-MINE SHIPPED ON OCTOBER 7TH SHOULD BE IN TODAY OR TOMMOROW WOOHOO!

*P.S for all the people going on about how its gay and is gonna be played...theres only 30 available in canada! how many SAGA and LD suits are available in canada!? woo hoooo

Alright, just got my g-suit. These sizes are XL Jacket and XXL pants. Im 6'1 and very lanky, still looks very dope. Ask me any questions you want.

 
I will sell my size large jacket, to anyone in canada for $450 plus shipping. PM me, i'll be putting it up for sale this week sometime. So this is a chance for someone to get dibs on it. I only have the jacket, no pants. Brand new. Reason for selling it is that it is too big for me.
 
Salomon is fucking brilliant. Those prices are absolutely insane and people are lining up to buy this piece of shit. I love it.
 
The G-Suit is pretty dope but Everyone has it. I don't care if there are only 30 in Canada, all the best skiers tend to ski the same resorts. I am living in Austria at the moment and when I went skiing the other day 3 kids were wearing the gsuit...and they were all sessioning the same 2 jumps. I made the mistake of buying the red white and blue sessions outfit last season...i saw so many people wearing the exact outfit as me that it made me vommit...literally. But I wish you the best of luck with your GSuit, I'm not gonna lie I do wish I had one.
 
The prices actually aren't that insane. At least not in Quebec where I live. I was just at axis (the ski shop that basically everyone here goes too) and all the jacket and pants were in the same ball park price as the g suit jacket and pants...There are tons of Burton, Volcom, Oakley, Spyder, etc jackets or pants that go for just as much or more...
 
I think people seem to also be stoked when other people dont have the same stuff as them. salomon didnt mass produze the g suit(there are only 30 in canada) and even tho you might see the name everywhere its just cause its on high demand. not a ton of people will get it.
 
I saw $539 on that tag. If I'm paying that much for a jacket I expect it to be gore-tex, not 10k waterproof. I won't even get into the style of it, the technical merit of the jacket negates any of that.

just for a size reference im 5' 10" and the tails of a medium hang to my knees!
