seriously, fuck gryphon investors who fucked over gi joes. there are only 2 stores in the entire state that i really need and 1 is g.i. joes, the other is fred meyer. something as simple as fishing lures, now i dont know where to get blue fox or panther martin. this sucks hardcore and i think something like 3k are gonna be out of jobs. i wish horrible voodoo on anyone associated with gryphon investors. on a lighter note, good deals right now and you can steal all you want because it just hurts some dirty fuckin liquidation company on the east coast
 
i assuming you are young so i will give you a history lesson on the situation, "joes" was named G.I. Joes for the past 50+ years and then

some sanfran company comes in and changes the name to "joes" and tries to

expand the company, thus leading to its ultimate demise. the name

change came in 2007 so i would think and hope any true oregonian would

still refer to it as G.I. Joes.

surely i am not the only oregonian/PNWer pissed off buy G.I. Joes goin out of business
 
Now where am I going to get my motor oil, 12 gauge ammo, last years golf clubs, and beef jerkey all in one stop?

BI MART? although i don't know if you'll find golf clubs there, I went to the GI JOES in eugene and the place was a zoo and shits only 10% off, i'm gonna go back though and get some super cheap random nick nacks in a few weeks it the still have stuff.
 
Im fully aware it was called G.I. Joes at one time. I myself still refer to it as G.I. Joes. I just felt your thread was very confusing and i had no idea what you were writing.

i know it sounds kinda redneck but they had really good prices on all ammo and car maintenace supplies and just like little things like long underwear things and such, it does piss me off as well! lets just go raid it before everything is gone and get what we can!!
 
skyler, im gonna pm you with some of the shit im gonna snag for our summer jibs. its gonna be sweet but it would be more sweet if we still had G.I.Joes

ya man it sucks, i work at Joes. i dont know where i'm going to get all my camping gear. REI is a fucking joke.

That is true that we dont carry automotive stuff....but all of our oregon stores carry guns, ammunition, and fishing. I dont feel like a sports store should carry automotive stuff.
 
allot of people loved copelands back in the day though and now look joes and copelands are gone. The only two sporting goods companies above water right now are dicks and sports authority.
 
wtf do you have against GI joes? it was a sick store that was local grown but fell under bad mgmnt. and serisouly, why do you have a hard on for gart and dicks?
 
but they are back. lots of sweet companies goes outta business, thats doesnt mean that they werent sick. anyways, i didnt really bump this to start a sporting goods store argument. GI joes is back and that is awesome and many loyal customers like myself are very pumped on this.

like one dude said last may, where else can you buy ammo, beef jerky, motor oil and golf clubs?

it's one small store now. and correction to that one guy above G.I. Joes is sick, but when they sold to become just Joe's everything went downhill.
