For real the level is insane now. Was jumping off my couch watching Max Hitzig. Also interesting to see how despite not doing much freestyle is noticeable how Reine Barkered is a stronger skier at 40 than most of the field on tour

Max’s flip was incredible and huge and stomped. I cheered aloud.

But, definitely not the biggest.

 
I also love how calm and relaxed Max Hitzig seems through all of his runs. It's like he's not charging per say, I mean he is, but it's like a super chill way that he stands, kind of looks like a mogul skier stance where his bottom half moves and his top half is so calm. I love it.

Really sick event Hitzigs backflip was insane.

They really have to lose the fucking snowboarders or something so we can get more of this nothing for 3 weeks blows.
 
This stop was hands down the most lit stop in FWT history. God I wish I was partying in Golden tonight. The number of times I spilled my beer from jumping off the couch... I'm gonna lose my damage deposit.

I hope this is enough proof to the FWT organizers that we need more North American stops.

Also Sam Smoothy just changed the game for commentary ???
 
That was a great comp, level is insane, so fun to watch!

What I dont understand is why they fly everybody over for just one event. At least make it a double feature like in Fieberbrunn or something like that.
 
Shoutout to Xander Guldmans Screamin semen 3 and spinning both ways. He got robbed imo. A right 3 over exposure to start the line and the scremain 3 are so risky.

Yeah his line was awesome! His air/style category did not reflect his performance.
 
unpopular opinion

marcus goguen run wasn't worth a 2nd place, he wasn't in control on the first air and transition. he really just did a backflip on a massive face
 
This comp was one of the sickest I’ve seen in some time. All the athletes are so talented and really we’re raising the bar. I was kind of concerned after the slides in men’s ski and watching conditions get worse throughout the other categories. I know the FWT goes through great lengths to make sure a face is “safe” enough for a comp. I just wonder what kinda of conversations are happening behind the scenes as the day goes on and conditions are almost becoming un safe for the athletes. Just some thoughts
