Went to my local shop today to look around a bit and fell in love with these two. What is the difference between them and why would I buy one over the other...They seem alike.
i dont know a lot between the both but one has rocker and one doesn't (ar7) but you should ask your guys at your local shop they will know more then us i bet
The futre spin is much softer then the ar7. I skied the future spin a bit last season and although I would say the swing weight is much lower and they are faster to throw around then the ar7 the much softer flex meant you could not drive the ski anything like as hard. I did like te fs I would say its the best park ski line have next year, but I would say they are more like the old punx. Pretty soft throughout but nible and light. The ar7 is much stiffer and I a ski you can ski much harder and has more pop. So pretty differnt overall.
I love my AR7's tons of pop and just a very solid ski overall. Also if you take them out of the park they're sick because they're quite stiff so you can ski super hard and fast and you never get any chattering.
It comes down to what you want from the ski. If you just want to mess about in the park on rails and small to medium sized jumps then the Future Spins are probably what you want. If you like hitting big jumps and going super fast then the AR7's are for you.
But really I like my AR7's on anything they're great on rails, all sized jumps and just overall all mountain skiing (except deep powder obviously). Also I don't find it to difficult to butter on them even though they're stiff the most important thing for butters is that you have a fairly stiff boot that fits you well.
ar7 is a great park ski that can rip all over. Ive taken mine in the trees, through bumps, and cruising groomers as well as days straight in the park hitting rails and 50+ foot jumps and they do it all. Cant speak highly enough about them
