Future ski video trick exclusion request (FS 270s)

please, especially for high level companies, put less front side 270s out off rails in your movie. This should be an expectation for next year, I've seen too many of them this year.

no, you just have to accept that 270 out should be standard. it's the new 90. actually, if people DON'T 270 out, I'm unimpressed. it should be the norm. every little kid and his mom can 270 out these days. 630's are still sick tho.

I'm not saying is isn't a good trick, rather i'm suggesting that riders should progress in two directions from it; doing larger rails with style or doing more technical tricks on the same rails. Seeing the same trick twice as much as another is a bit repetitive. Also because this trick is the easiest "technical" rail trick a lot of riders do it to get a "technical" rail trick.

PS. it rarely looks good

exclusion might be a bit much but less fs 270s and more of everything else is what i should have said

It's like you're saying "Stop doing 540, they are played and everyone does them are they are easy! stop doing them!" Just shut up.

Have you seen Mike Henituk's shifty 270 out of that kinked rail in yeah dude? I'm on for a request for more 270s like that!

It doesn't matter if everyone can do them, almost everyone can cork 3 and Tanner's in session 1242 is still amazing to watch. IT'S NOT ABOUT DOING THE TRICK, IT'S ABOUT HOW YOU DO THE TRICK.

the thread creator is right. fs 270s off rails are fucking stupid. everybody does them the same and they are all ugly. id rather see no 270 at all than a fs 270

fs 270 off of a steep down rail, especially after a switch up or 270 on its tough.

you realise there are a lot of different ways to come off a rail without spinning more than 90, and i've seen some that look better than any 270 out in that new hot must have ski movie.

it's not about excluding 270s, though. just make them look different. stop trying to look so good by stomping a crater, putting your arms super straight and looking stupid. and mix them up with nollies on and presses or something.

it is another example of a band-wagoning in skiing where something is done to the extent becoming mundane. Sure some are sick, but mostly its nothing new.

I would appreciate the style and simplicity over an ugly, bent over 270 out.

seeing that you're sideways when you slide a rail i would say that is pretty similar to snowboarding where the term frontside comes from.

If you have another word for it than do tell.

I agree. Generalization alert: They look soo gross with guys coming out switch with their legs all straight, ass sticking out and tall tee crumpled up on their back. 99% of the time they force their style soo bad. I'd seriously rather see them come out 90 if they just straight slid the rail.

And to whoever says they make the trick more "technical": No. They're easy.

ummm so what if snowboard movies have too many frontside spins off rails.

watch ski movies... where we have no front or backside.

wow everyone is missing the point in this thread, which is

fs 270 out are boardering on being as easy as switch out, therefore unless its a gnarbar rail, it shouldn't be put in a video segment more than ONCE.

I will kind of agree. Everyone and their mom's grandma can 270 out, but I think it's still good to see, people add their own style to it and whatnot

"It's like you're saying "Stop doing 540, they are played and everyone does them are they are easy! stop doing them!" Just shut up."

what a horrible comparison. your comparing an actual trick (540) to something not even close to a trick (front2)
