Fusion pass or meadows?

im heading out to hood for the winter this year but unfortunately only have money for one pass. i was just wondering what people thought was a better deal for the money. i have a car but its not 4x4 or a suv so transportation maybe a little hard at times from what i have heard. i love to ride all-terrain but mainly ride park. unless its a powder day im in the park. ive heard the terrain at meadows is way better than the other mountains but is it really better than having a pass good for two mountains? idk. help me out

Timberlines parks are prime, it is less crowded and I personally like the atmosphere better there. The terrain is really flat though, and there is a lot less terrain in general. Meadows has a much wider selection of terrain, but the lifts have long lines and their parks are mediocre. The parks may be better this year however, because they were recently sponsored by Nike. Meadows also installed RFID gates for this season, so the lift lines may be faster. Basically if you plan only to ski park, ski timberline.

get a pass to meadows. its got everything you want. heather canyon and private reserve are awesome on a powder day. i think some of the parks are open at night too.

Timberline has hardly any night skiing. Meadows has a bit and has a rail park and one other park open at night

ski bowl has kick ass night skiing and pow skiing, with how the last few winters have been the fusion pass is way more worth it

I would say fusion. it really depends on what your into. by the sound of it fusion would be best. Tline has waayy better parks and there is never any crowd. and for powder days ski bowl is the best. upper bowl has some gnarly cliffs and if usually not too crowded as well. I had a meadows pass my entire life and loved it, but once i got more into park, i liked tline better. meadows is crowded and ski patrol are dicks. plus i heard there is a hot ass liftie at tline that if you bring her a pb & j, she'll give you a bj

fusion will run through the end of may which is at least a month longer than meadows and may at tline is amazing

meadows has amazing terrain if you go and explore when theres a good snowpack. parks used to be solid but after 06-07 they went to shit. highly doubt the meadows parks are all of a sudden sponsored by nike but if you're right thats wassup.

i'd say go with fusion cause tline's already open and you'll definitely be able to ride a longer season than at mt. hood meadows.

noone needs a park though when you charge meadows this hard

Fusion Pass is the obvious choice in my opinion. Timberline has MUCH better parks and Skibowl has the pow skiing terrain. Plus with the Fusion Pass you can ski from now until may where meadows will open around thanksgiving and close in april (i think). Plus meadows parks features are usually catered to snowboarders (15ft corrugated pole jams) since an extreme majority of its riders are snowboarders. Meadows is packed with gapers and the parking lots often fill up on weekends in january/february. Go with the fusion.

would meadows be a better option if i'm looking for steeps and cliffs? I've been there before and i thought the park was pretty good.

Meadows is definitely my favorite resort on Hood. The terrain is prime and there are lots of cliffs and steeps. The parks are not as good as Timberline but also not as crowded. Despite that, I think a fusion pass is more valuable. Ski bowl has nearly their entire mountain open for night skiing. Pow days would definitely be good but Ski bowl often hurts for snow so don't count on this. Timberline is really flat for everything in bounds. Later in the year, there are sick back country canyons off of Magic Mile and Palmer. The fusion pass will get you more skiing because of the longer season and ski bowl's night skiing but meadows gives you more variety. Fusion also has the edge on park. Keep in mind that spring passes are cheap for both resorts too.

For the past couple seasons I'v purchased a Meadows pass and then A T-line spring pass. I don't find there to be enough days of good snow to make skibowl the better option when I want to get some real skiing in. Meadows parks are certainly not great, but are still very fun to hot lap.

T-line spring passes generally start in March so you still get 3 months of solid park skiing. And only around $110 if I remember right.

Best of both worlds.

Meadows season pass.

Ski Bowl night pass. Cheap, and usually turns in to a full pass in March.

T-line Spring pass to keep it going.

Meadows parks r pure shit and the vibe there isnt nearly as good as t lines. Meadows does have sick terrain but thats why they do the fusion pass so u can go to ski bowl on a pow day. Go with the fusion!

yeah tommy! so much stoke!! I love the hollering after every trick

i can't wait for the next day like this at meadows.

Skibowl is sick too, but the lifts are SLOW. I get cold by the time i'm at the top haha. Some amazing cliff drops though in the upper part. I had my sickest Pow day to date at ski bowl.

i usually just get a pass to meadows, because its closer to Hood River (where i live) and we have High School ski team practices and events there.
