Funny response I got in an e-mail

So I messaged a guy on Ebay who has PEs with last years scratch 140s for $600 minimum telling him they wouldn't sell to lower the price. Here is his response:

"Listen you fucking amateur The public enemy new In ski shops is $500.00 and the binding is $350 add tax when you buy it and it comes around $900.00 NOt including mounting or wax already on it. I think $600 is a faor price when it has barley been used. You obviously no nothing about skiing so go buy your skis at gart sports because the ski you get there is no the real public enemy. Thanks for your input."

I thought it was amusing :)

Wow you can buy that setup brand new for that much, not that you'd want to did anyone see how ugly and mismatched the Purple Rossis look on there? It's all good though I guess, cuz they won't sell and he'll have to lower the price. You never know with ebay though...

what a loser, by the time he sells them well all be dead and snow wont exist anymore.

we get screwed on prices here in UK but thats steep for over here for used gear

sent him some links, where you can buy them brand new, with new scratch bindings for probabley less than that, then tell him to look at all the other 06 public enemys in completed listing

that was nuts...he basically pointed out every ski that was better and all the faults in the sanok...lol...i dont know the money order/bad grammar scam though.

^awful description. Also, the spatulas kill it in chopped pow, as long as it's soft because the tip slices through like a point.

and this is what i got back:

First of all I mounted them dead center and you can't even tell from a picture you fucking idiot. You guys need to meet women or something because from all your e-mails it seems you have way too much time on your hands. if you dont like it then dont buy them and pay top dollar for yours.

HAHAHAH its funny, cuz i jsut got laid last weekend,

here is the pic:

does that look centre mounted to you?

yeah, spats are the best chopped pow skis (besides other reverse sidecut skis) because the tips will never catch so you can do whatever you want.

Spats aren't THAT bad on groomers either. Sad. I just shipped mine out today.

But yeah, the sanouk guy is a total psycho. Those skis have been on there for a few months now.

I've skied every powder ski, in powder, from a major brand on the market today. The Volkl Sanouk is the best one by far. I will become the next cult classic form Volkl ala the Explosive. I didn't necessarily like the Explosive due to it's excessive stiffness (stiff powder skis are just stupid) but in it's time and in the right conditions it was a solid ski. This ski is totally different. It is extremely soft. Soft skis work in powder. This is something that we've know for the last 100 years. It's not rocket science. The relatively straight side cut, fat waist width, huge shovel, and soft flex all combine to make a great powder ski. The split tail works as advertised. I lets you sink the tail to keep your tips floating in hard turns. It may be a little to wide in the gap between the two tail prongs. I like the design of the Salomon split tail a little better. But that is a very minor complaint, so don't let that dissuade you from believing that this is the best powder ski. In pure untracked powder the spatula is maybe a little better, but as soon as you hit tracks those skis suck. I had one of the worst days on them in mammoth after the powder got a little tracked on Lincoln Mountain. Anybody skiing on those skis the day after a storm is doing so purely to make a cool guy fashion statement. They are one of the worst skis ever made for bumpy tracked out conditions. The Sanouks on the other hand are sick in the tracked out stuff. The ski just sucks everything up and rails the tracked out pow. They are a little scary on ice but thats to be expected. They may be a little soft to land hugh cliff drops but it think they ski so well that is a sacrifice I'm willing to make. These skis are brand new in the plastic. The only reason I'm selling them is to make money. I don't really want to sell them so I am not accepting offers. You pay $929 I will ship them for free and you save the tax that you would pay in a store.

i sent him this

I think the price is way to high on your skis. If you want to sell them lower the price. I know a place where you can get a better set up for less than $400 but thats just cus I'm smart and know where to look.

poor kid, you guys shouldnt have ripped him, he is hating life right now. But if you look, he lowered the price a tiny bit :)

"MOUNTING AND TOPSHEET DO NOT AFFECT HOW THIS SKI WORKS"

... Beg to differ...

topsheet is everything J...everyone knows that. the sweeter it looks the sweet ot rides

The guy with the PEs and the guy with the Sanouks are quite possibly the worst salesmen in the history of the world.

yeah... i did the noob thing and didn't read the whole post before i posted that. i thought here was only 3 replies when it actually said 30. sorry.

dude they arn't dumbasses like u if u've been around long enough u would know that we've been through this a 100 times

"You obviously no nothing about skiing so go buy your skis at gart sports because the ski you get there is no the real public enemy"

i sent him a long message about how the colors of the ski and binding don't go and about price and mounting. hopefully he writes back
