Funny or horrible employee housing stories?

I want to hear your funniest or worst employee housing stories. How was the chaos?

I worked at purgatory as a ski instructor this last winter and they didn’t have employee housing. Everyone lived in motels lmao.

Worked at mt Washington on Vancouver island. No staff housing left so me and my buddy lived in a 13 foot trailer for 4 months.

My family owned "The Birdhouse" in downtown Government Camp before they lost it in court after my grandpa's small airplane went down and a passenger sued...

During the time it was in our family we would occasionally rent it out to Ski Bowl to lodge their employees there during the season as it had 21 beds, eventually everyone got tired of cleaning up after the Ski Bowl employees at the end of the season as they would completely trash the place... there were holes in the walls, piss stains on carpets, broken beds, broken stairs, broken appliances, outlets ripped from the walls, it was bizarre.

I heard the parties up there were nuts as back in the mid 2000's the ski community was a little more... fringe?

Maybe someone from NewSchoolers has partied or stayed there...? :)

I bet there were some insane parties in that house from the sound of it. Sucks y’all lost it but it looks like a great spot. Mid 2000’s skiers are a huge influence today. I bet some big names have a story to tell ab it.

moved into the Buckhorn at Alta and upon the first week all the dudes hated me due to a suspicion that I stole their weed as that I was the new guy. The issue resolved itself when the kid found his lost weed behind his sock drawer. kid was totally cooked.

Vail employee housing: lived with a guy who would drink a liter of vodka a day and would smoke in his room windows closed, swore his illness was caused by altittude. He then had a mental breakdown because his knees hurt, probs cause he was so inflamed and malnurished. He made it to march and the guy who replaced him was the radest MFer ever. New guy would work 80 hours a week for epic mountain shuttle and spent summer doing McConkey-esk shit.

employee housing really has the worst AND the best all in one place.

Currently living in the scummits at mt. Hood, since May 21. boyo boyo best and worse is a completely true.

first apartment I lived in was hilarious,

moved in with a stoner, a violent wacko and a cocaine smuggler. Stoner ended up throwing my broccoli out the window in a kitchen sharing dispute.

cocaine smuggler turned himself and half the community into tweakers.

But boyo boyo the non tweaker half is THE BEST. The community is so tightnit and they get together all the time to share a good time. Bonfires, benders, bigbooty and more. Never witnessed so much sharing in my life.

def have mostly met lifetime friends and some lifetime enemies in employee housing.

mt. Hutt nz: def the best experience, we all shared meals and drank a lot of cider on super jug sunday. We never got bored on mt. Shutt days or we got bored together which is always vibes.

SSNW snoqualmie: we slept at the ski school on the weekends, best. People. Ever. And if the highway closed on a sunday night i’d be excused from school and ski powder all monday.

no matter where you go in america there is the BEST and the absolute W.O.R.S.T. Its what you make it, unless you are in big sky employee housing lol never been and diss me if wrong but there is nothing good about employee housing there lmao.

Sounds like LCC housing. You either get your shit stolen, become a druggie, or get an STI but most likely a combo of all three loo

I recall reading some horror story about vail employee housing somewhere a few years back where they had 2-4 people per bed lmao fuck that

I don’t know a single person who hasn’t gotten laid there. South Americans get loco when the lights turn off. Kitchen remodel with the double oven hits different.

edit: thats what happens when you have property within 500ft of charlies.
