Fun stuff to build in the summer

so pretty much i am going to have all summer to do nothing with my friends, and a couple of us decided that we would build something sick. so what are some good ideas or things that you have built? nothing crazy, but something that we could have fun with. we have failed in trying a treehouse, and i am the only one who wants a summer jib setup, so any other ideas? gracias.
 
build a snow machine. then when the snow machine is done build a backyard set up. then when fall and the colder temps roll around you can have yourself a fun time.
 
That's actually really a good idea. I can't even get an in-store Wal-Mart credit card that illegal immigrants can get so easily.
 
Get two teams. Each team can build a raft out of junk you find, then find a huge river like the Connecticut, because there arent too many rapids, and have a race down the river just kinda rafting and chilling for like 2 days, you can bring the necessary supplies for camping and shit. When you finally get too the mouth i have no idea how you are going to get home though. I think my friends and i are doing this this year on the CT river prolly starting in Mass or VT.
 
if you failed building a tree house, how are you going to build anything else?

tree houses are so easy to build. my friends and i built a 3 story tree house with a slide on the last week of summer 2 years ago.
 
im hoping/ planning to build a sweet smoke shack somewhere in the woods on my mountain. for safety meetings next winter..

you could also build a guitar
 
potato gun? you gotta think of the bigger picture... potato howitzer...

we were going to get a huge alluminum tube, a couple of bike rims and a keg. put it all together and launch potatoes for miles
 
hahaha me and my friends built a catapult last summer it fired tennis balls that we soaked in whiskey and axe deodorant and set on fire. It was sick but you cant really shoot anything funny cause you cant really run with a catapult. We still hit a few cars though
 
^yeah surfboards and longboards...and you could also build like little Japanese tables and get little pillows to sit on and drink tea or smoke hookah from them
 
Make 2 boats out of cardboard or some light wood. Then make some potato guns and put them in the boats. Go out onto the nearest lake or river and try and sink each others boat with potato cannons. That would be epic.
 
^^^ sounds a little dangerous but what fun things arnt,

also my idea would be to learn a trade like glass blowing, and then make a hookah for everyone to enjoy!!
 
make a log cabin/party place in the woods. my buddies and i did it last year, it is bad ass. we cut down the trees but fucking hand haha. but it is awesome, we are stealing electricity from the church, have a cabin, another thingy idk what to call it, 5 couches, fire pit, hammock, zipline, beer pong tables it is sick. we had awesome parties that summer, and this summer it's gonna be even sweeter we're adding another house type thing.

that is so dope, i might do that with my friends this summer.

and buy/build longboards, longboards are sooo much fun in the summer.
 
me ands my brothers built forts, go carts, remote control cars (they top off at 40, so badass), ziplines, and an entirely wooden basketball hoop (even the rim)
 
me and my girlfriend are going to clear out an old sugaring shack behind her house and fix it up and her dad's gunna run electricity to it, it's gunna be real dope, can't wait for summer now.
 
I'm no christian, but I am pretty sure that stealing from the church sends you straight to hell.

My buddies and I built something like that without electricity, it was pretty ill. It had two stories (proabably not a good thing when we were drinking) and a slide and a rope swing.
 
Word that's what I'm gonna do. I have tons of lumber sitting around, I'm gonna build a nice ass coffee table and then some shelving units for my apt next year I think.
