The origins of April Fool's come from 16th century France I believe. In french, April Fool's is called "Poisson d'avril", which literally translates into "April's Fish". So thats why, in french elementary schools, the common April Fool's day prank you'll encounter is someone sticking a little paper fish on your back without you realizing it. I dont know about you guys, but I think this is a cool fuckin story.

the simpsons told me it was the christians pranking the heathens for not changing their calendar, and so that's how it stays.

now who's laughing? now who's laughing?
