Fully legal absinthe in the US

my friend got some in germany, when he got back he took like three double shots and he was so stoked for a while. Then he puked up his stomach-lining and was vomiting blood for the rest of the night
 
The wormwood is what makes you trip i believe. but i bet it's not legit, the real shit is hard to get only certain countries allow it. i bet it's a pumpfake. keep me posted though if someone drops the 60$ on a little guy. if you ask me you get the same shit with a bottle of devil springs and 10 drops of liquid lsd.
 
On the website they state that thujone has no hallucinogenic properties...I've never had the stuff, can someone shed some light on this for me?
 
its worth a shot, the real shit is fucking insane (i've tried it once) and who knows how good this stuff wil be.
 
word. i had it when i went to greece, it tastes sorta like concentrated nyquil mixed with gasoline. i did some shots of it and felt really weird.
 
why drink black liqourice. its fucking terrible. i realized that. i was stoked to try it, but i mean just give me a beer or some 99 _'s and im drinking way more enjoyably
 
technically you are right, traditional absinthe contains trace amounts of thujone. but if you drank absinthe without thujone and somebody told you it had tons of thujone you would claim to hallucinate. absinthe comes from the wormwood plant. it doesnt need thujone to be called absinthe. its a total placebo effect. read this http://www.absintheonline.com/acatalog/about.html

you dont trip balls, well atleast not for me, ive had it in spain and switzerland, it tasted like ass, i had 3 shots each time, felt nothing for a good hour then all of the sudden got hit my the worst drunk truck of my life, it just fucking ran me over, backed up and ran me over again
 
Yea, you don't hallucinate on it. My friend shipped me a bottle from amsterdam. It just got me REALLY drunk with a wierd body buzz.
 
you gotta get the right absinthe with the right wormwood in it, and you gotta get it when the wormwood is in season, and you dont trip, but colors look really wierd
 
some guys i was in hungary with got a botle of 160 proof absinthe. said it fucked them up, but no fairies...
 
if you want to trip and be drunk, take a hit of acid and drink-- tab of acid $5-$15 tops drink-- whatever you want to drink

absinthe is supose to be poured over sugar, thats why it comes with a spoon with holes in it, if you just drink it straing you're an idiot

Absinthe in Spain, Switzerland and Amsterdam is not the original absinthe as it used to be. It's adapted in order to be legal. It won't make you trip it just makes you sick.
 
tastes fucking rank, if I want to drink 95% alcohol or whatever the strongest is in NZ then i'll go buy ethanol and add some water n food colouring. honestly its waaay over rated it just makes you feel shit afterward
 
yes after extensive studies i can say absinthe does somewhere approaching sweet fuck all in the tripping department
 
there's a place in amherst, mass that has absinthe with no thujone. but what is the fucking point of there's no thujone in it. wormwood is what makes it absinthe and not just a high alc content liquor.
 
In Britain you can buy up to 60% volume (100 proof). So the absinthe is weaker than in france where its 80%.

But seriously 60% is enough for anyone. It burns.

What is it in the US?
 
Lucid, the one of 2 brands is 67% alcohol, or 134 proof. I have yet to have it...65 dollars a 1/5th is pricey for a college bloke.
