Fulltilt wrap liner VS tongue liner

I’ve grown up riding the wrap around intuition in my tilts but I tried a pair of ascendants on with a tongue and it felt great. I’m not sure what to get, Just curious on what others prefer and why?

I’ve used both, I prefer the wrap liner for a couple reasons

Feels warmer,

Personally my foot felt more secure and locked down

didnt let snow into my boot.

but I’ve now moved back to the normal tongue liner for a different reason, I think it’s whatever fits and feels good but I for sure prefer the wrap

Would you say the wrap around liners have a tighter fit?? That’s the main reason I’ve always went with the wrap.

If you can get the tongue liners with the laceup i'd say its a tighter fit. I'd been doing wrap for over 10 years and i was using the boot power strap around the liner, and then a booster strap for the boots tongue to get a tight fit. Now with the tongue liner i can lace it up, and use the normal power strap to get the same tight fit.

The tongue on my dropkicks liner ripped after 7 days of skiing. Was beyond pissed at the durability so they eventually warrantied me months later and I requested the wrap liner.

even if the tongue in theory felt slightly better I would never get it again unless it was the upgraded pro tongue I think they sell separately?

The wrap has more intuition / is thicker so I think it gives a better fit as well

Wrap Liner: flex felt more in line with the linear flex pattern of 3 piece boots. Didn't like there was so much foam between my lower leg and shell. Also the wrap portion around my shin would always loosen, and I was constantly pulling them tight and cinching cables and powerstraps throughout the day to keep it snug.

Tongue Liner (granted this was on Head Hammer 130s before being discontinued): Better fit around my lower leg with less foam between lower leg and shell. Flex felt slightly more like a 2 piece boot due to the tongue design of the liner (though not entirely a brick wall feeling since they were still used in a 3 piece boot).

Hoping to try out the Pro Tongue Liners this season, hopefully they're built more sturdy than than the classic tongue liners.
