Full Tilts not snug around leg

So I've had a pair of drop kicks with intuition liners for over a year now. The boot is really snug around my foot but the intuition liner at the top of the boot just doesn't hug around my leg. Like if i lean forward then my calfs wont be touching the back of the liner and vice versa. Its really weird and it happens towards the end of the day after riding a lot. Tightening the boot doesnt actually seem to do much either. Any suggestions? anyone else experienced this? maybe time for a new boot or shall i bus out some tape and force the liner to be tight to the leg.

Does a booster strap reduce flex?

Yes and no. If you have a lot of room in your boot they probably feel flexier, so when you put a booster strap on them, they well be stiffer since room is eliminated. The actual flex of the tongue should stay the same, or how it's supposed to feel in the first place.

ah okay. thanks for the responses man will try some out!

I have this same issue. I put on booster straps but wear them under the tongue. Fixes the issue and makes the boot feel a lot more snug

get some instep padding....to add more volume in the front of the tounge.. source i have chicken legs also, and no matter how tight i tighten any boot ever i still get wiggle at the top, putting some real padding in the front helped remove the wiggle

ignore all the above advise. my brother had this problem too, really skinny legs. full tilt makes a shorter cable for the top buckle. this will tighten the whole boot around your leg. get it. this is assuming you already have the top buckle at the shortest possible setting already.

wouldnt this make it so there is a gap between the tongue and the liner coz the booster strap itself is actually kinda bulky.

Chicken legs!

Try an eliminator pad to take up volume, or get some posting foam from a shop and build up the padding behind the calf to take up that volume.

You are prolly tall and have higher calves that don't really sit inside the boot cuff, hence the extra space, or your liners are shot. it doesn't take long to kill a pair of cheap intuitions.

How tight is tight around the foot? if you pop your liner out and shell fit it should be no more an a finger and a half gap between your heel and shell, and thats a sloppy gaper fit, but acceptable. You should really aim to have less than a finger gap and punch and grind until the pressure spots go away. New boots with a proper fit suck for a while no doubt, but they work much better.

This is what happens when you buy a brand instead of a boot that actually fits you. Id love to wear FTs because SO PARK, but they dont fit me right. Get to a boot fitter.
