+k for help

i live in iowa and no one carries full tilts around me so please help. owners of full tilts.

also i heard they form to your feet after a few days of sking because of the intuition liner or whatever.

please help

I have always owned just FullTilts. Some fit true, and some fit big. I currently have the 2012 Seth Morrisons and they fit true to size but the liners push out a little so in time they will run a little big, but not too big, just right. I am a size 11 in mens when it comes to shoes. I buy my Fulltilts a size down from that. So my boots are 28.5s (aka 10.5) in mens. At first they will seem tight, but after a good amount of use they will fit perfect. There are no uncomfortable areas in the boots at all unlesss you have a wide foot. I would recomend getting a different boot if you have wide feet. Although i am familiar with the way FullTilts fit I would still recomend getting fitted. A boot fitter will MOST of the time know what he is talking about. Hope I hepled in some way. FullTilts are sick ass boots!

You have a few options.

You need to go to a bootfitter to get fitted, but it does not matter if the shop sells full tilt or not. A decent boot fitter will be more then capable of telling you if a FT will work. Decent boot fitters wont try to sell you a boot they will try to fit you in the best boot. If they dont carry a boot which will work they should tell you.

Go chat to some fitters and see if they think they will work. If they do get some online and take them back for fitting.

If they dont think they will be the best go for what they recommend.

Full tilts are nothing special so dont be of the opinion that you need them, other boots are allot better, so get what they recommend.

Overall its never a good idea to get boots online so your best bet is get a boot which is recommended for your foot that you can get locally.

I agree with you on what you have to say here except one thing...The part where you say Full Tilts are nothing special....Im sorry but you should probably do some research before commenting. Why are there multiple professional and famous skiers that have Full Tilts made in their name? Boots that they represent and prefer over any other. A profeesional skier isnt going to back a shitty boot. Boots are key to enjoying your experience skiing...Now I am not saying Full Tilts are better than every other boot, but there are definitley at the top with a few others.

^ its all down to money. If Full tilt pay the cash the riders will follow. Its not like all the pros had shitty boots before FT were re-realesed.

I have worked as a boot fitter for over a decade now, I have seen lots of boots come and go, and can assure you that FT are nothing amazing.

They can work well if they fit you right, but certainly are not anything amazing.

In my opinion there are many other boots I would prefer to ski in, that fit the same.

Overal it comes down to what works for your foot, it may be a FT it may not.

I completely agree with you. It does all come down to what works best with your style of skiing. I am not saying there are no other good boots, i am saying that Full Tilts are great if youre willing to spend the money. I have worked at an Ski and Snowboard Shop for quite sometime now so my information is valid in some way. They are a great boot. The technology behined them is great.

If you have worked in a shop, then you will know the issues with them. They can work well, but they are pretty cheap build wise, the buckles break constanlty and the shells are certainly not up to par with most current brands.

Dont get me wrong they are ok, I have skied in them and they work. But they are a 99mm last. Nearly every brand in the world has a 98mm last which could work equally well, but may have better durability.

The main thing FT did right was the advertising. They got it spot on, and getting some of the top park riders on board helped allot.

But lets be honest, untill this season they were just boots from the 80's with cool colours.

This season they have updated there tech so maybe if they continue with this trend they could become a top brand in a few years.

But you just have to look at how few shops carry full tilt to understand that they may not be as amazing as most of NS make out.

Overall, dont let me stop you using them, they can work great. But this thread was about getting a boot fitted, and if you have worked in the industry Im sure you would agree its far better to get a boot fitted in a shop by a bootfitter then just buy a boot online because you think they are cool.

^ Well I can honestly say all the customers that have purchased Full Tilts from us have had no problems. There havent been any breaks, malfunctions, or dislikes. I definitely agree with you on the way yoou purchase boots. You never want to buy boots online. That is for sure. A local shop is always better to go to for boots. They are avery narrow boot and can prove uncomfortable for people with wide feet. The boot will just not work for them what so ever. Full Tilts marketing is above most , but Pro Athletes arent going to BS the public about boots. That woulodnt make any sense. And from my experirnce in the Industry, Full Tilts have been popular for quite sometime. Not just this year....Ha.

Well at least we agree on how you should buy boots, so we can agree for the OP he will be best buying a boot locally even if that means it is not a FT.

Enjoy your carer in the ski industry

cause brand new boots are always expensive and im looking at a pair of FT booters that are 26.5 and i where and 8 and a half

found some for 100 dollars sick deal help i want them but idk if it is right to buy them

Well this is what we have discussed above.

Its never a good idea to buy boots online, so if you do it your risking wasting your money if they dont fit.

At least go to some shops first to see if they will work.

They may be a bit big for you though, if you only wear a 8.5 shoe you may need smaller.

As reference and nothing else I wear a 10 shoe and 26.5. Now this is just me but hopefully it shows you should at least go get your feet measured.

Such as? Just curious because I love my fulltilts currently but am in the market for another pair... of course I will be going to a bootfitter and that will be the most important part of the decision, but it never hurts to hear more opinions about similar boots that are good.
