so i use a pair of boot dryers to do, well, dry my boots obviously haha. i just got a pair of full tilt seth pros and got the liner molded, and i was wondering, is there any chance that the dryer's heat will affect the mold of the liner?
yes probably. i mean when they do the heat molding for full tilts it doesn't take too muchto get them to mold. i'd be careful if i were you. just email FT though and they'll let you know
my boot drier has the option to run at room temp, you should try to find one like that. also, it seems that most driers run much cooler than the mold process anyways... still it would be best to email FT
Like above me, my boots are heat molded but I use a boot dryer on them all the time and it hasn't affected them one bit. They really don't get hot enough to do much at all.
Mine are in my boot dryer right now, they don't get remolded (unless you have the super high temperature one they use to mold them - I think it's like 220 degrees or something), it works great to keep the smell down and the boots dry and even more comfy when you put them on.
Step 1 - Remove your FT liner from the shell, open up the wrap-around and position the wrap so that the inside flap catches on the outside. You liner will dry way faster if it is out of the shell and opened up wide.
Step 2 - You can use a room-temp boot dryer (best option), hair dryer set to cool (still be careful though as these aren't meant to run for hours on end), or place upside down over the heating ducts in your house over night. Chances are the thermostat you have set in your house isn't usually over 70 degrees F so it won't affect your heat mold. Never place them in front of the fire place.
