really? you call that a defect? it's simply the dye from the leather cable cover rubbing off on the tongue of the boot, there's nothing wrong with the boot and if you keep your cables locked at all times except when taking off or putting on the boot, no one will ever know... enjoy your new boots

 
I said it in the other thread and I'll say it again: Why in the world would you use cable covers anyway?
 
there was a thread on this i think yesterday. contact store you bought it from if you really care that much about a little smudge
 
I simply emailed the website on wich I bought them : I had brand new tongues and I kept the dyed ones.

That's stupid to pay more than 500$ for brand new shoes and actually have boots that are not in perfect condition.
 
a bigger problem than that is my full tilts not buckling as tight as i'd like on my calf even after moving the cable back
 
Those boots are fire. That's far from a defect. Start hitting the snow and then see if you can find a single thing wrong after that.
