Full Tilt vs. SPK

The title makes this thread sound really stupid and I know that this question may be answered by going to a boot fitter however.

I've recently discovered that this year's booter it wider than Full Tilts usually are. SO.... How are they compared to SPKs? SPKs fit my foot like a glove however mine are getting old and I've been getting a lot of recommendations to buy booters. I would like your feedback about a rough comparison between the two.

Thanks!

If the SPK's fit like a glove, why the hell would you look at something else?

(implying that the SPK's are actually a good boot for you)

Well,

To be frank, they're old as hell. They're so old that there have been breaks in the buckle.

Plus it would be nice to switch it up.

I think he's implying that although SPK's fit him really well, FT's might fit him better, and he's asking the NS community for their thoughts.
I love my SPK's, and FT's have always been too narrow (and expensive) for me so I don't have any real input on that, but I hope I cleared up some of the confusion that other people were having...

agreed, why take the chance that they dont fit, also the flex on the full tilts is different, and if ur friends are telling u to get the fulltilts cuz there "cooler" dont cuz in my opinion the new intuition fts are not that cool especially the orange in the booters

I really cant believe the title of this thread. You couldnt have picked boots further apart in terms of width.

Advertisements and pretty pictures on the internet are nice. But go to a shop. Find out what you fit. Then do the right thing and buy the boots from the guy who's spent his time and years of expertise on you. Its a great way to get to know people at your shop, and those are great people to know if you like skiing.

the thing is, these two boots couldnt be more different in terms of width, as ginko pointed out.
so if the SPK fits him properly, then there is no way in hell that a FT would fit him any better...
go to a bootfitter, its what they do.

for this years boots, i like the spk over the booter. i personally hate the new influence design, and when i tried the booter on it was hevay and too stiff. i tried spk koas boots on, and i liked them better than the new booters. i have about a 95mm last foot, so i still ride the old ful tilt design

Its cause there the "coolest" boots to have, he dosent care how they fit (even though he should). He also probally has his mind set on booters because of his friends he just want NS to back up his decition and thats why he made this thread.

this post is so full of win

but yea if the SPK fits you then there is no way in hell the FT will. Totally different dimentions

in his defense, he is talking about the new 103mm Booter, which isn't that far off the SPK's 105mm. Sure they fit differently, but I don't think it's that ridiculous

Yeah, Exactly what I was trying to say. Thanks for clarifying. The way I look at it is that the intuition liner is supposed to be amazing and maybe it's overhyped but I just wanted to see if anyone had any feedback about the two being similar.
