Full tilt touring boot

Got excited when I saw that on his Insta.

Will probably be very heavy and not have great range of motion, but they'll probably sell well.

The wrap liner with an Achilles flex zone is interesting.

tongue is also designed to be removed when walking, has an extra waterproof gusset underneath.

Eh, no more so than the Vulcan, Backland, Lupo TI, older TLTS, and some others I'm likely forgetting.

Some people love it, others hate it. So long as they're not required to come off it shouldn't be an issue. Lots of people tour with the removable tongues in, lots of people don't. Depends how much ROM you want.

My question is how light and how progressive of a flex will it be.

It'll also be interesting to see how the walkmode works. I really like boots like the Backland, Mtn Lab, etc. that have external latches. Makes an on-the-go fix easy.

Time will tell.

it's not as if you're required too, just recommended

Very very true. I don't think they will be too bad of weight...considering they are probably using the standard full tilt plastic.

Sucks that they aren't looking to come out till 18/19....this could be a gamechanger for full tilt if they actually do it right

Honestly they look like toy touring boots. I dont get the popularity of Full Tilts, they seem to be very cheaply made and ski like shit if you actually want to carve a turn.

Anyone else notice this in the Kimbo recap?

its not pu for the shell its pebax so weight is not bad, kind of on par if not a little heavier then mtn labs i would say. Pebax can act strange in the mold though so using the existing descendant mold was not as easy as hoped, funny you would have thought they would have figured that out from k2 with the pinnacle pro :)

They feel pretty good though and ski well from what I have been told,I have only tried them on not skied them. They were originally planned for this coming season but they held off to get things perfect. You will see plenty around this season for sure.

What does the descendant shell offer the current 99mm model does not?

A better placed middle buckle. Last time I tried the current 99m shell in a shop I couldn't even keep them on because they were killing my malleolus.

The Descendant shell was much better in the shop, but painful on the slopes because it's too wide for my feet (which are very narrow, at 97mm last).

So maybe Descendant shell design in 99mm would hit the sweet spot.

Right now I have great fitting boots but they're a bit too stiff for park.
