Hey guys so lately I have been getting such bad shin bang with my full tilt hot doggers. I dont really know why. I am not sure if i need a softer tongue or something. But i feel like at the top of the boot I have a good amount of room that should not be there. And I am slamming my shins off that. I dont know what to do. I love my boots. But i am getting shin bang way to easily and really badly. So badly I could not finish my rail jam last night. Thanks a lot guys if you can help me out. I know this should be in gear talk but i wanted some quick responses.

Yes they fit me perfect. Like when I dont have shin bang they feel so good. never had a boot feel so good before. But whats going on. haha

If you have too much room at the top of your boot you can...

1) Tighten it if it isn't as tight as it can be already

2) Get a smaller boot

3) Stuff it with padding

4) Work out your calf muscles so they fill the top of the boot more

Put the strap between the tongue and liner and tighten it and then put the tongue down and clamp it. Or wear 2 pairs of socks.

booster strap way over rated....Use the one on the full tilts its way bigger and fits the boot better. I have a booster and its not that good

come on and admit it. you didn't try on any other boots, you just bought a 500 dollar pair of full tilts because your hero tom wallisch wears them and your a 14 year old rasta. its understandable, now you just have to pay the price of being a trend whore.

you're never going to break in boots that a) youre too feeble to flex, b) are too big.

and when you have a size 9 foot and wear an 11 skate shoe like it makes you cool, that doesn't mean a size 11 boot is "a good fit".

im not convinced that you aren't just another moron who doesn't know how performance sizing / fitting works.

This is actually a really good idea. Even though I don't have a problem with shinbang I do have a lot of extra room at the top of my boot. thanks!

Don't land back seat, also this does sound stoopid but take an ACE and wrap it around the bottom of your leg but mostly around your ankle and make it tight. Most shin bang is caused stretching of the calf mussels and putting pressure around your ankles will help to prevent shin bang. it worked for me last year before i got my dabellos with i love.

hope this help, because shin bang can really put a damper on your day

My buckles are as tight as possible. The boots fit fine. I did not buy them because they are the twalls. did not buy them because what people say about them. I bought them because they fit right. But when I got them I did not notice the tiny bit of extra space at the top. I am going to buy booster straps and hope those work.

If you land backseat too often, any boot will give you shin bang. If you land backseat, it's not the boot's fault.

Tooooo big of boots. I bet when you first got them and put em on you were like damn, these are perfect and comfy as fuck....

...and i bet it felt like heaven before it packed out.. should be the other way around. It usually semi comfy at first and then after you pack it in its like zomg jizz

I do. I just have to much room at the top so I slam my shins. It not so much landing back seat. But I did just buy a booster strap

I have found when you buy boots they should feel really tight almost a bit uncomfortable when you first try them on. Then when they finally pack out they feel like heaven. Before I had always thought it was the other way around, so my boots always felt good in the shop, then after riding it for awhile they started to suck. Luckily with my full tilts I got the right size now no shin bang even if I land backseat as a mother fucker.

Not sure how this helps OP but yea next time get boots that feel tighter than they should.

Shin bang isn't caused by you banging your shins against the front of your boot. It's caused by landing backseat and bending your shin over the cuff of your boot pull the muscles in your shin and creating a bruise like feeling.
