Full Tilt Shims +K

I have Full Tilt Classics and am using the 6-flex tongues and I find the forward lean to be quite annoying. I can’t even ski in powder because I can touch my chin to my tips.

Would taking out the plastic shim in the back of the book promote a more balanced stance? Could I do this?

Also, I have been waiting for some 8-felx tongues from full tilt for the past month, they have pretty bad customer service, they are nice though. Anyway would putting some 8-flex tongues on stiffen up the boots to at least control the amount of forward lean?

I’m 5’7” 140lbs.

Yes you can take out the shims completely if you prefer. I did it for the first half of this season then when I realized my pow days were behind me I put the shims back in.

I took out those fuckers anyway. I felt like I was forced into a nose butter the whole way down the damn hill

Yes, I felt like I was superman. I like forward lean but not to the point where I can look through my legs. Plus, I feel like my feet aren’t balanced because all the pressure ends up in my toes and shoulder of my foot.
