Full Tilt pain

I get some real pain on both sides of my feet while riding in my seth's especially when riding moguls or terrain that requires allot of pressurecarving. The pain kicks in imidiatly after I stop skiing for a sec like when I'm waiting for a friend or something..

Does anyone know the problem and how to fix it? are my feet too small/slim (boot size is good tho)?

+K for help!

your boot-fitter needs to take a look at your foot inside the shell (without a liner). this will let him/her know how much room or lack thereof is in your boot, which will in turn dictate what to do in terms of removing material or adding padding. Without seeing your foot, it sounds like your boot is a bit narrow for your foot or you don't have a supportive footbed or both.

A footbed might fix it but it's more likely your feet are too wide. Full Tilts best fit flat and narrow feet.

Thanks for the fast responses,

I got narrow low volume feet, already went to a bootfitter to get the straps tightened because I had a loose heel, he did put some footbeds in the liner but didn't mellt them in the liner.

The boots aren't too small, in contrary they might be a little wide actually.

I get like irritated skin/red scruffs on the side on my feet after a day of riding maybe it's caused by my foot sliding side to side when carving? and what would be a solution? let a bootfitter get some padding in it? the nearests bootfitter far from where I live.

a foot bed will support your arch, depending on how much you're willing to pay, and usually they pull the toes off the front of the boot a bit more. The seth's have a width of 97...if you're feeling pain in the arches it could be that the boot is a little too narrow for you. Is the pain in both feet? When you got the boots fit, did you insist upon FT's? The other possibility is that the boot is just a little too long, and your heel might be sneaking up on you a bit. That will force you onto the balls of your feet when your skiing, and could definitely cause some cramping in your arches. Take them to a shop and have someone you trust do a shell fit for you. Try a couple different kinds of footbeds and see if that changes anything. If not, depending on the exact pressure point, there may be some boot work that could be done to help.

if you can get away with a tighter fit over much of the top of your foot and inner ankle, maybe custom molded footbeds will help. they include a heel reinforcement that makes for less sharp corners in the liner, not to mention pretty much stabilize your entire foot. $120 well spent

Hey thanks for the quality response!

I didn't insist on FT's at all, I was actually looking for the cheapest boot around but the best fitting boots were the seth and the salomon gun, chose the seth cuz of the changeable flex.

Also tried the Booter and SPK but they were way to wide, my feet were floating around in them.

I can still wiggle the front of my foot a little bit , around the inner and outer ball area, also my feet are low volume and don't touch the tongue from halfway in between the outer longitudinal arch-inner ball to my toes. ( see image )

The tech did put some volcane footbeds in them to lift my heel so it would lock properly ( low volume feet) but I didn't got them formed to my feet, plus they were inserted after the liner had already been melted to my feet, I dunno if this should be like that or that he needs to melt the sole into the liner?

My feet hurt at the inner and outer ball of my feet like displayed on the image below

i know this is the wrong place to ask this, but, would you buys recommend intuiton liners for salomon spk's ?

idk if tha would work.....idk hos to help u out....fulltilts are so comfy....when i first bought mine...i had somewhat of the same pain..

it would work, full tilt liners are supposed to fit any boot, its just that part of my spk liner pushes on my left ankle a little so i was thinking of getting intuition liners, also intuitions have more padding around the shin area.
