Full Tilt or SPK Pro?

I'm needing new boots this season and I want something that will work for freeskiing and in the park. I've thinned it down to these two. 09 Full Tilt or 09 SPK Pros. I weigh like 145. What do you guys think?

You mean more than one color of full tilt. They're all the exact same boot, with different colors and they come standard with different tongues.

Massively different boots.

If your foot is medium width volume or below, then perhaps consider FT's - doesn't mean they will fit though.

The booter is the widest feeling model because it has the thinest softest liner, if you have a lot of width or volume in your foot, then FT probably isn't the best choice.

Not quite...while the shell last is the same on all FT models, the liner thicknesses, stiffnesses, and different volume boot boards all contribute to different fits for different feet.

i'd like to bring this thread backk .. i was wondering if anyone has used any of the full tilt models? i have tried them all on and with customization (fitting and figuring out which footbed/wrap is best for, just wanted to hear other peoples feedback on the full tilts they've rode.
I'm really hoping to go with the Booter, just because this is "supposed" to be the more park oriented boot from Full Tilt.

DO NOT get the booters. They have to thin of a liner and they will beat the hell out of you shins.

Go for the high five's or hot doggers, and get the superfeet supports.

it depends on your foot, full tilts are skinny or narrow, and spk's are pertty wide

dude have you ridden the booters?

the liner is a lot better than the orriginal reichle boot, and thats the boot everyone hung onto for years. as for them beating the hell out of your shins? yeah right dud, those boots flex so well. I have konflicts, and since i switched have never gotten shin bang once. thats nearly a hundred days of skiing on them.

all though the liner on the booter is thinner, they won't be horrible at all, just alittle less warm.

well alright, they work great for you which is great. but a few of my friends that rode them said that it was too thin of a liner and they got shin bang, but i guess that didn't happen to you

The liners on the booters are pretty much nothing special at all compared to the liners of the other FT models......essentially, they suck. The FTs definitely fit a more medium to narrow foot and the flex is like no other boot ive put on before. I havent ridden in any but it will take time to get used to im sure.

They are nice boots if they fit your foot and if you think u can just get them and have bootfitters work on them to make em fit...then your taking the wrong route. Plus, it's a total bitch for bootfitters to work on fulltilts because of the shell design and such....things are possible, but they won't be happy doin it

as for shin-bang, anyone gets it regardless of the boot if u keep blowin the landing or land back seat a lot. a boot can help tho but dont be "that guy" an buy before u try on. trust me, im a ski tech at a local shop an its pretty stupid of ya if thats the route ya go
