Full tilt modifications

Is there anyone who has modded their full tilt boots to make them more comfortable/look cooler/increase preformance? if so, show me and i am sure there are others who want to see too. the most that i have seen done is allen lam's v-cut.

oh, one thing i did, i put spk liners in my boots because that low part of the shell on the side was killing my leg and the plastic on the spk liners keep it from digging into my leg. now they are like heaven on my feet.

ok, I'll do it.
1. don't make any modifications to your boots unless you know what the fuck you're doing. there are many modifications that can be done to a boot to make it more comfortable but they're all completely dependent on your foot shape, and should only be done by a trusted professional boot fitter. if you're having issues with your boots fitting...go see one of them. the only real "mod" I'd ever recommend you doing yourself is adding footbeds...again that should only be done if you need them to cure some fitment issues.
2. "modding" your boots to look cool? ski boots aren't civics.

well i like to have a more indevidual look to my stuff (probally shouldent have gotten wallisches then.) but what i am thinking of doing is dying my tounge and cuff just to add that "me" look to it. sorry if i pissed you off or anoyed you but if it does just ignore it. no hate dude, just sayin.

Taking the intution liners out of Full Tilts for SPK liners is like putting a Volkswagen Buggy engine into a Lambo.

not really, the spk liners are a lot more ridged and have more support. i will give intuition props for the costom mold thing but the overall structure of the liner is like a marshmallow and it dosent really hold up to the boot and it lets certant parts of the boot dig into your leg. while the spk liner kind of holds up to more agressive skiing and gives the leg more support. it feels strange at first but you get used to it and it saves from a whole lot of pain. i truely like it.

The spk liner is one of the worst on the market.

Stop bumping this thread.

I hope to god you are just trolling. I really am astounded by your lack of any sense.

its a sick idea man i like customizing my shit to make it look cooler man. but its boots.................you see barely anything

I honestly think that YOU sir are the troll here. all i am doing is asking for some harmless tips and pointers all i have got out of you is nothing but shit. now why dont you just ignore the thread like any good person would. you sir are not a skier at all. you just have nothing to do but sit on newschoolers and flap your yap.

back to the point.

i really like these liners in my boots and it works a whole lot better for me. every persons foot is diferent and this is the way i like my boot. i dont see why i have to be like every person who owns a pair of full tilts.

Well megazord always seems a bit harsh doesn' t he? Never learnt to play nice I guess or he is just really opinionated....but often right...!
Don't do anything to your boots. Put stickers or wrap a bandana around them or something. Do nothing permanent. Especially painting them. Just don't. Some paints can harm the material your boot is made out of and compromise the integrity of you boot...so unless you are sure do not paint them.
A lot of people would be happy to own a pair of your boots so quit wasting your time messing with them (SPK liners! Really!? Is that your idea of an upgrade?)
Focus on asserting your individuality on the slopes. You have boots that for some reason you find comfortable,I can't imagine how but whatever (SPK liner!?Really!?), don' t ruin them.

Weren't there some guy who cut half of his boot off or something?

Maybe they were spk's, i remember that i thought it looked like suicide but apperently he liked it.

They essentially became rollerblade boots. If all youre going to do is hit rails all day, then i can see the merit. But if you actually wanted to ski anything relatively challenging, say goodbye to your ankles.

well im sorry that no boot really fits ME correctly. I ski all midwest so i dont worry about big mountain stuff. the fulltilts have fit me the best but adding the spk liners worked out for "ME". every one has a different style. i dont see why there is so much hate involved with what people chose to do if it works out with them. i mean isnt that what this sport is about is progression? it just seems to me that we are becoming a bunch of snowboarders.

and thanks shreddenator for the uplift... i think... +k for sure.

Dude you are not having a good day....don' t you know hating on snowboarders will get you nowhere with most NSers?

Snowboarders are our allies these days they help expand our parks and give us a larger voice in the alpine community. Even though we were banned from participating at the beginning, they helped us secure the first terrain parks. Criticizing snowboarders is a whole other minefield you are stepping in....best to avoid eh?

But I see what you mean. Assert your style, progress, steeze it up or whatever, but don't sacrifice your boots, especially if you find them comfortable, for style....or you will be disappointed.

Peace and trees
