Right guys, i cant decide wt boots to go for. I mostly ski park but love shredding the backcountry and hitting pillows and tree lines. Which boot would suit my style the best ??

The one that fits...

Those are 2 VERY different fitting boots, if you can fit into one properly, there is pretty much no way to fit into the other properly. You need to go to a good shop that carries a wide variety of boots and get fitted for boots...and the ones that fit properly might be neither of those.

If you could "shred the backcountry and hit pillows and tree lines" Then you would already know what suits your "style" and not have to make yet another dumb fucking thread asking what boots? The answer is, and always will be: The boot that fit's you best. And again, if you were such a shredder you would already know what you are looking for in a boot.

i think any person who ever asks advice on here about which boot to get is going to hear, "go to a bootfitter." at least thats what it says in every single other boot thread on here about a hundred times. its not about which you like, its about which likes you.
bootfitter dog, and ft is sick if they fit right.

it's either one of the other homie..... I had the SPK and wanted to see what all the hype about the FT's were, so i went to my shop to see.

First off, i have a wide foot, so i was limited to the booter or high five. The quality of the FT's are on point, without question, with that said- Not a fan of the new buckle system...the buckle pops with little to no effort, however, i was told they have a shim to solve the problem....NBD. Also the higher end boots have the older (and better IMO) style.

After getting the boot on and playing around with different soles, the boot just didn't fit my foot type. I even worked with a guy from surefoot who knew some tricks to help me out. Bottom line, they didn't fit as well as my SPKs..i also tried on about 12-15 different boots while i was there.

I'm sure there are people who have switched from one to the other, but they are two different animals. The Ace of Spades, its a pretty solid boot that really isn't getting too much hype. I already ordered my new SPKs, but I'm really considering sending them back to get the AOS.
