Full Tilt descendant 8

Hey guys a buddy of mine won a pair of full tilt descendent 8s and is willing to sell them to me for 400$. They're a fairly new series so theres not a whole lot of reviews on them, i was hoping someone could give me some more info.

Performance wise I believe they're pretty good, but if they're the first year model, I would advise against them. The durability for the initial run was supposed horribly, the tongue rivet/clip broke on many pairs, and buckles were really fragile from what I heard. One person in specific cracked the actual toe of the shell itself. Check out the reviews on Backcountry, I'm sure it's a good boot when it comes to the skiing though

Don't do it man. I was a long time full-tilt customer, skied 3 weeks on the D8's and they are destroyed. Broke every buckle at least once, cracked the rubber bases off on each boot, cracked the back shell right above the strap on the right boot, the tongues came off religiously, flat out these boots sucked.

Mid season switched to Krypton Pro's, my first non-FT boot in years, best decision I ever made.

Do you know if the boot actually even fits you and is the right size? They're a different fit to classic Full Tilt's so don't expect them to fit you just because you've previously owned Full Tilt's.

If you're not 100% sure they'll fit then no don't buy them. Go to a boot fitter.

Thanks for not responding, thanks to you i was unable to attend coachella and make out with some hot babes!

If it's still worth anything my descendant 6's were sick until I broke 2 sets of tongues, both lower buckles on both boots, and a screw rusted out letting water into the shell. Full Tilt makes a decent boot otherwise, but first run with this line sucked. They didn't really fit me well from the start but that's not an issue with the boot itself.
