Full tilt buckles breaking?

So i'm debating on buying a pair of full tilts but i heard that the buckles and cables break all the time on them, is this true ?p.s. dont say go to a boot fitter to find the boot that fits you best because i already did

i have not had any problems with parts breaking on my full tilts. Im on my second pair now, the only reason i bought a new pair was for size difference. if you were that concerned you can buy metal ft buckles of their website

I have the First Chairs, and they come with the metal buckles.

Haven't had a problem with them yet, nor have I seen it happen to anyone else I know with Full Tilts.

I have blown up Nordica and Salomon buckles though

I worked at a shop that sold a lot of full tilts and I never saw the cables ever break on them. We had a few issues with the buckles on the new shell last year but full tilt fixed that for this year.

you're lucky

on my Seth's, ive replaced every buckle at least once, some twice, and replaced both middle cables

Dam mobile. With my metal buckles and cables. Ive cranked my buckles hard in the cold and none have ever snapped or cracked. I can't say the same for my old langes.

Simple fix to the problem

Start with the middle buckle on the lowest the the lower one then the top. Every time make it one notch thing tighter. Not only a simple solution to breaking them but also helps put equal pressure on your foot.

I got FT classics beginning of last season and rode 60-70ish days. No broken (plastic) buckles or snapped cables. No problems at the start of this season yet either..

pretty sure ur not gunna have problems i have the doggers i mean there like the number one park boot so ya man people just talk shit

I start all at the loosest notch, and start with the top buckle, then bottom, then middle. Then cycling from top to bottom, slowly tighten your buckles to desired tightness.

Then I usually readjust them halfway through a run.

Im gonna start doing this from now on. Seems smart to take care of my 350 cash plastic. Might even synch my one boot down tighter, if it does, I'll be happy.

on my 2nd pair of fts now, my booters last year held up great, except for the liner packing in, nothing broke, the screws came lose and a few of the buckles fell off, they didnt break

i just got the hot doggers, they fit my foot better, i hope the buckles dont break, iv heard about alot of peoples boots breaking

all my friends full tilts and my brothers and my booters last year have all held up great

the plus side of buckles being easily broken, is that its even easier to replace said buckles. Its really not a problem, and if you ask around on NS you can find people who are willing to sell or give you buckles.

strange, I ski at least 60-70 days a year and for the past three years i have used the same pair of full tilts. the blue and white booters before they switched to the weird design. they have the regular plastic buckles but never have i broken one and i beat the shit out of them. the only problem i've had is that one screw worked it's way loose a little but i just thread locked it back in place, that and i'm on my second set of liners.

been riding the original konflicts for 5 years now, nothing has broken knock on wood. You'll be fine

This, the only reason mine broke was because of a hard fall, and the plastic didn't even break. It was the metal mount part underneath that cracked in half.

Had my Classics just under a year and the middle buckle broke. Got a replacement very quickly. 4 months on still going strong with said replacement.
