Full Tilt Boots rubbing on Pivot at the heel

Is anyone having this issue I just noticed this after I am trying to get another pair of skis mounted and the shop called me saying the boots weren't fitting. I've been running Ft and pivot for 4-5 years now and have never noticed it until he said it. Does this affect the release and has anyone noticed this?

sorry bro but i think its an issue with your binding,

ive been running full tilts on look pivots for 2 years and have never experienced or even heard of that problem.

Was it your ski shop who made the issue or the manufacturer?

The heel is rubbing on the black arms that connect the heel piece to the assembly I’m guessing?

The ski shop notified me of the issue, not sure what it is stemming from picking up the skis from the shop today but noticed on my other pair of skis that it is an issue, however I have never noticed an issue in performance.

Do you have photos/video of the issue?

Here they are you can see the rubbing on both the boot and binding. I was charged $75 to fix this issue not sure if it is fixed however due to me not picking them up yet.

Were the bindings mounted, or just readjusted? If they were mounted, that issue means that they weren’t done so correctly because if they’re mounted for a certain boot at X BSL, the forward pressure should be adjusted and that shouldn’t be a problem. I’ve readjusted some of my pivots for smaller boots and see that come up, but it’s never happened when I’ve drilled and mounted for that boot.

Yeah I had a shop mount them for me and then brought my other ones back to them. They were mounted and never adjusted. So what you are saying is that if the forward pressure was adjusted it would fit better, because the ski shop said it couldn't be done, however I do not have the greatest trust in them given I spoke to them about it and they weren't making sense, saying just plainly full tilt boots don't fit pivot bindings and I need to shave my heel which I declined.

That’s absolutely false, I’ve been skiing Full Tilts and mounting pivots for years. There’s nothing that says they’re incompatible because every boot toe and heel needs to meet a certain standard (ISO 5355) as do the bindings (Pivots also meet ISO 5355 standards). They’re cappin if they say they’re incompatible
