Full Tilt Booters

Hey guys, I've been searching around for a new pair of boots and I finally found a local shop that has a pair of Booters on sale, these are really the only Full Tilts near me and from all I've heard of them, I at least wanna try on a a pair. What are your guys' opinions on these boots and how well they hold up, shin bang, padding, etc.

INB4 "Go to a boot fitter!" I am going to the shop to try them on I just wanna get some thoughts on them form you guys :P

Yeah all the Full Tilts have those buckles and they look really cheap and not durable, i wonder why they use those... Anyway, what exactly sucks about them?

If you really tighten the cable a lot it puts a ton of tension on the buckle and they basically just crack in half,

They have aluminum buckles on the booters so you should have no worries, but you can buy aluminum ones for any other full tilt shape (orignal or soul)

I actually found an even better deal on some Drop Kicks, how are those? And why is it t hat the lower priced Booters have aluminum buckles but not the Drop Kicks? Thanks guys

you need to try on one or the other and see what fits you the best

Drop Kicks are more narrow than booters, and you should not have a big problem with buckles unless your are really tightening them a lot

Yeah I am going to try them on, as I said in my first post, I just wanted to get some opinions of how well they hold up, stuff I should be aware of like the buckles being a bit shaky, stuff I can't find out form a fitter.

I broke one of the buckles on my 2013 dropkicks after hitting it on a rail. I bought a new metal one for around $10, its not really a common occurrence

Thanks guys, I do see you can buy some aluminum buckles online for cheap so it'll be fine if I bust one or two. Thanks for the help I'm excited to try on some FT's for the first time!

Definitely should not be used for all/big mountain in my opinion. Unless you don't mind having to take 4 grams of painkillers before skiing in the morning.

Also, could someone explain the difference between the Drop Kicks, and the TW's? They look mostly the same besides the cable cover, aesthetics, etc. But are the shells or liners different or anything else and are the TW's worth the extra money? Thanks and sorry for the DP :P

Go with the drop kicks. I exchanged my booters for drop kicks, and I have not regretted it one bit. The tw full tilts have the cable cover, removable heel and toe rubber soles, the intuition pro liner, and a different flex tongue. Save yourself a ton of money, and get the drop kicks.

Hey thanks man. From the site though, the liners in the TW's and the DK's look the same and the features seem to indicate they are the same too. Also, is it true that the Level 1's differ from the DK's only in that they have different aesthetics and the cable cover?

+K

Get something with the pro liner. I had a pair of booters, and upgraded to high fives with the nicer liner when I broke them, and they feel tons better. Better hold and more support

level 1 and tom wallisch both have the pro liner in the freestyle category. the pro liner isn't really worth it, but try them both on and see how you like them.

the high 5 in the influence series, as well as the higher end regular ones

and to the guy who said it doesnt make a difference, i disagree. after riding both consecutively (the cheaper one day, the more expensive the next), i can say that i felt the pro liner provided a lot more support and ankle hold, as well as formed to my foot better to provide a tighter (but no pressurepoints) overall fit. plus they will pack out less so they can last longer

yeah, but the booters buckles cut your pants, and are shit. many more people prefer the drop kicks system. Also, the drop kicks have cables screwed in and secured into the boot as where the booter cables have popped out once or twice on me, making it impossible to buckle in my boot securely

Thanks for all the help guys I tried on the Level 1's and DK's and decided to go with the Level 1's for the pro liner which felt a lot more comfy in my opinion.

i honestly think you have absolutely no clue what you are talking about or are retarded on how to use a boot. after over 50 days of using booters, i have never once cut my pant leg because of the buckles (please explain to me how that could even happen) or have the cable pop out. only to top cable can be removed without screws, but it cant come out if there is pressure on it (if your boots are buckled) unless the shell breaks. and even if it does pop out, it takes a whole 10 seconds to put it back in place if you take your boot off
