Full rocker is dampening?

Had some smooth soft groomers today, so decided to take my hellbents

just for the fun of it. I hit a couple of jumps, they are semi big ones.

2 times I had to much speed and overshot the jumps and almost landed on the flat.

If I did this on my park ski it would hurt like hell, but on the bents I felt

almost nothing. Is it because reverse camber makes it almost like a damper? Because your not

landing on a completely flat surfaced ski?

Anyone else experienced this?

I'm no physicist, so I don't have a real explanation. Bump my Majesty Lumberjacks (full rocker / flat underfoot) are the same way. I can send it way bigger than any cambered ski I've been on. Maybe the ski kinda rolls along the rocker so it's smoother, and doesn't slap like camber would?

For me it feels like if I land at all on my tails I get a lot of dampening but if I stomp it perfectly under the boot it feels rock solid

Well hellbents were always pretty damp and heavy, like a lot of older K2's. You also have much more surface area to let all the vibrations spread out more so I'm not surprised. Your park skis might be snappier and more lively, thus giving more feedback.
